Not to say but all of the games Betehesda has released has always been better developed and enhanced when the modders have had their way with the game.
I'm not talking about modders adding werewolves, spears and answering to the callout of 'where's my levitation btich!?' I'm talking about general improvements that makes the game more balanced for a more fun and wholesome gameplay.

Im going to appreciate the game for what it is and not what random other people make of it. I want The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, not The Modded Scrolls V: Heavily modified Skyrim.

I play at least one time the vanilla game to experience what the dev meant for the players. It was never very successful for that matter: I encountered morrowind main quest breaking bug about Addhiranirr (since I didn't know this bug existed I continue playing and erasing my saves) and oblivion quicksave problem which ruined all my saves. But I'll still test one more time a vanilla TES xD
There's definitely a lot of things I dislike about the game that i'd like to see remedied by mods... but i'm too patient to wait. I'll give it a fair try upon release, and then worry about mods.

I never understood this line of thinking, and I was a PC gamer for many, many years. Why bother waiting for Skyrim if all your going to do is tear it apart and ruin the carefully crafted experience before you even try it out? Just get Oblivion and apply the countless mods there, you can have the exact game you're looking for,

I agree man. You hit in spot on. I played oblivion and put 400+ hours into that game untill I added mods to it on my 2nd play through. I feel like the authentic version of any game should be valued before adding something that changes the way the developers sought the game to turn out.
I love mods but i use them to enchance the game and increase replayability, not to make the game playable in the first place (with the expection of bug fixes and unoffical patches).
Considering i think they have worked on this game as one of there longest developments, i expect to see most glitches worked out. As long as the game runs right, does not lag, and does not freeze i am fine. If it does it ruins the game but even New Vegas was still fun, and that lagged like a Female Dog!

I think they are treating this title differently from oblivion, so it should be pretty damn good even in it's vanilla release.
Maybe not 6 months but I am going to be rather busy for at least the next 2 or 3 so I'm not going to play a lot anyway. When I do start the game however, I hope enough mods will have been released to at least fix some of the things that bother me so I won't have to ever encounter them during the game.
