How did Alandro Sul have three eyes? Dagoth's mask would imply that Sul literally had three eyes. Why?

My guess is a reference to the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Third_eye.

Alandro Sul is the original rebel against the Tribune. He possessed the ability to perceive the Red Moment from the backend- a spiritual third eye is a natural link.
