It would be epic to finally reach the 7000th step and look out over skyrim and beyond

Well, it will probably be like 4,000 steps, but are you really going to count them all anyways?

Some people will count the steps ;)

But making a mountain with 7000 individual steps hewed out of the rockface isn't overly hard. All you need is a model with proper collission. Aligning/placing individual steps would be tedious work, but who is to say that they won't simply slice up the model as a layered cake and have every section of the model with 100 steps. :)

I wouldnt worry too much about how many steps can be rendered. It'll be terrain, and that's not exactly a processor killer these days. Also, they can just add cliff walls on either side going up the mountain. there are 7000 but they dont say how the moutain is shaped...

They won't have 7,000 steps and people will complain about "breaking lore", like always.

Like when Cyrodiil's jungles was turned into temperated forests. Some people couldn't forgive that.

To prevent the same kind of boring discussions, let's just blame Tiber Septim if there's not 7,000 steps. He tinkered with Tamriel, when he ascended into divinity.

I know I'll be severely tempted to.
