The top things the game has to have to not disappoint, you?

Armor/clothing to suit my tastes... This definably. In both New Vegas and Fallout 3 base games, I have a hard time finding outfits that really suit my tastes. However, from what I've seen in the trailer... There is a specific set of clothes I really wanna wear (the set that looks like it would be the Mysterious Stranger's clothes) so I think I should be good... If I do not like how I look, I have a problem playing the game honestly.

Not really a requirement but I'll say it as many times as I can... Wasteland Crossbows.

I've not played any of Skyrim's dlc so I can't personally comment, but from the excerpt in bold it sounds like a tenuous distinction a best, or that you're poorly articulating the distinction.

Also "At the end of it all, you can suggest that she give up her vamprisim, and point out how much she has problems with it"

The player has to point out the problems she has with vampirism? Surely there's more to this...?

Yes. After the DLC's MQ is over, you can ask her if she has ever thought of giving up vaprisim, to which she says "no, not really, why?"

-You can tell her it would make you feel more comfortable, which causes her to get angry that you would try to make a major decision about her life about you, and makes her refuse to speak you about it again.

-You can tell her she could be her own person again, which ties into dialog from throughout the DC where she talks about how she was basically forced into it by her family.

-You can tell her to look at what it did to her family, which, like the above, ties into dialog from throughout the DLC about how it destroyed her family.

If you were nice to her through all the chats across the DLC, didn't blow her off, didn't treat what she said like you didn't care, and were generally supportive of her, options 2 and 3 will allow you to convince her to give up vamprisim. Option 2 causes her to talk about how it would be nice to not have to feel the thirst of being vampire anymore, and option 3 is more one of those "why the hell would you want to be like your mom and dad, who you don't really like, and were driven to madness by this", though she does comment they weren't exactly normal before that either, being Daedra worshipers and all.

You tell her that you will help her in this decision, which she thanks you for, but says is something she has to do on her own, and then she leave to go talk to Falion, the mage from the base game who cures vamprisim. You lose the ability to get her as a follower for several days, but when she comes back she isn't a vampire anymore, which she says she feels good about, and you can regain her as a follower.

You do lose out on the bloodcursed arrows for auriel's bow if you do this though.

And yet she will still have her vampire powers and wear a hood when out in daylight. Great job Bethesda!

That is a problem yes.

Though the only vampire specific power she has is "drain life", all her other spells are just normal spells, and they did manage to get most everything else right

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Serana

If Serana chooses to become human, she will no longer be able to provide you with bloodcursed arrows, nor will she be able to turn you into a vampire. Her eyes will also revert to her mortal green eyes. She will no longer be undead, which means that she can be healed by your Restoration healing spells, she won't be damaged by Restoration combat spells that target undead, and she appears with Detect Life instead of Detect Dead.

at the very least, every thing that FO3 had in terms of game play features. if it has less, then that is just a step backwards. my main issue with the TES series.

What I need is a plethora of area and side quests for exploration and content. basically, a lot of content. also, i'd like it to be more survival like. or at least have hardcoe mode like from new vegas. if this game is mostly revolved around the storyline gameplay that'll last maybe 20-30 hours and wont have many side quests like fallout 3, i'd be a bit dissapointed. i want it to have as many side quests and exploration as skyrim (but not to the point where they shove aggravating bounty missions down your throat) or more, but obviously more developed and enjoyable. with all the expectations and rumors going around, im beginning to question fallout 4. i hope people arent getting to my head.. i guess ill wait for E3..

Well not going to go on about good story and things like that, because that is kinda what we all want obviously.

-bigger map than skyrim, like i would be super happy if it was x2 larger.

-core thing unchanged. (Special, perks, eat to regen etc...)

-more hours in gameplay that skyrim (more than 400 hours )

-more realistic movement and combat please for the love of science

Speaking of killer Sets, I would hope that they improved the critical death animations with some keyframing before ragdolling. Also I would hope to see characters that have the kind of visual, aural, and psychological presence that we saw with the Fallout principle heads.
Notably absent is FO3; IMO.

Hi. Mine are mostly keeping the same formula and story more like FO:NV.

1) Silent protagonist - my top priority

2) Karma

3) S.P.E.C.I.A.L.

4) V.A.T.S.

5) hardcoe mode

6) Companions more like New Vegas but better

7) More of the Railroad story line

I am eagerly awaiting to see what E3 brings.

Colonel Autumn to pop out of no where screaming "I'm still alive svcker!" and shoot my character in the face.

Okay, not really.

It needs all the things that make Fallout a Fallout game. Vats, Perks/Traits. I could honestly do without the Karma system though. I'd rather see a system that awards according to the faction you're working for or against.

It's the world as they thought it would happen, and they feared an apocalyptic wasteland blasted flat and irradiated... that is all that should exist outside of a few towns. It's a different setting than Wasteland, even though the two titles have a shared history together.

Fallout's is not 'anything goes', but it's not strictly normal either; and that extends to the the behavior of the Earth, and nuclear physics.

In Fallout 2, Myron mentions that the climate changed and they could no longer grow certain plants. [This related to his conversation, but it does mean that the plants are affected... and don't grow like they used to.]

I just hope they keep some of the changes New Vegas made from Fallout 3.

-hardcoe Mode, doctor bags healing crippled limbs, and not stimpaks being able to heal them.

-Classes for armor, like light vs medium/heavy, and associated perks to benefit a light armor user.

-Weapon attachments

-campfires and being able to cook food

-This won't happen, but i like the thought of stimpaks and bottlecaps having weight. So basically everything you carry, should have weight. Food, chems and ammo.

-Keep VATS, but use the New Vegas model of it for balance purposes

-Keep SPECIAL and similar perks from the last two installments, but add a few new ones

-More then one option to choose when finishing the main quest line

Ive read through most of these posts but I havent seen anyone mention the return of traits from NV. Was a very important character definer from the start of the game and I think it would be interesting to see how beth would include this in Fo4.

I think it was a good feature and played right could allow your character to become more powerful in the niche you happen to be playing in at the time.

Traits in NV were a return from Fallout 1 & 2; and I certainly hope they include them. FO3 is the only Fallout title without them.
