The toughest choice

It would be nice if people quit referring me to about the way my screenshots look. The vaseline effect is rarely seen in any of my ATP 2.0 updates and never used in my most recent releases (My wood textures, godstatue overhaul, my never released creatures.) And I have no problems with this forum. I just closed a lot of projects that I didnt see needed to be up since my attention towards them had died out...

AmpolX, I based the look of my game off of your awesome sceenshots. That's why I was hounding you for your ENB series files a little while back on one of your threads. You do amazing visual texture work! Much of it is better than anything else out for Oblivion currently.

Oblivion goes thru phases. New players are exposed to TES Nexus and the Beth forums every day. Would be a shame if others never knew of some of your great mods.

AmpolX- I have a question about how you create your normals. I noticed you put black into the map, like right into the deepest receas. I've seen this a couple times before. And was wondering why is that done? I've never come across a workflow that mentions anything about that kinda thing, and was just wondering....

Was thinking of having the first four or five posts reserved with topics - kinda like this:

1. What is BAIN and links to all the relevant material and general discussion of the use of installers (BAIN versus manual and OBMM).
4. Information on BAIN conversion files (would need Frodo's help on that).

Then some more or updated examples. Really I'd rather it be helpful to others and such.

Being the one that coded the BAIN conversion file functionality, you could say that I'm pretty familiar with BAIN in general and BCF's in particular ;) Feel free to ask me anything.

I'll gladly help write up some docs if you let me know what isn't clear from the readme.

I would love to cast some thread necromancy on this wonderful party as its a fountain of information. My biggest problem each isntall is texture packs and it's nice seeing all these comparisons.

This game was my first time testing and using LODs and texture packs. I must say that I'm EXTREMELY happy with CorePC's Vibrant Textures pack, and I'm using his 2048 distant lod. Everything just POPS - the landscape, the cities...really very amazing. Use with http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=20053 and you'll be very happy :twirl:
