I like how Bethesda gets away with releasing a game 30% done and its expected for modders to finish and fix it for them.

What other game company does this?

Mojang.

What was funny is in Markarth I went into the shop near the entrance at what must have been near closing time. As I was talking to the girl at the counter, the guy on the left kept saying the above. Then when I finished talking to the girl I turned to the guy and he said, "We have some nice pieces upstairs if you want to look around. You need to leave, NOW!"

Loved the whole topic until this post, Bethesda finished their game 100%, but do you know how hard it is to fix every little bug, and every little tweek that could've been bad in a HUGE game like Skyrim?

The most annoying thing that has happened to me is the first time you go to Whiterun and the guard outside forces you to tell you why your there, usually after that I get svcked back in to him asking why I'm there again.

Mojang.

There is one difference: Mojang honestly admitted that they are in beta state and don't have the full game ready yet.

it absolutely amazes me that after all the complaints about oblivion's dialogue system, bethesda couldnt even be bothered to regulate random dialogue... why do people say ANYTHING but "hi" or "hmm?" when not actively engaged in dialogue? IM NOT TALKING TO YOU! STOP F***ING GIVING ME YOUR LIFE STORY!

Agreed! i am desperate for a mod to make it like it was in oblivion or something, give me your life story if i friggen ask for it!

What about standing and talking to someone about a quest, and 20 NPC's (15 guards, and 5 other randoms) ALL telling you different garbage about something you dont want to know about and in the end you missed everything the quest giver said..

Also when a guard says "Gods gave you 2 hands, and you use them both for your weapon, I can respect that" is that a reference to 2handed weapons or bows? Because I hear that often, but Ive never used a 2handed weapon

30% done? I never knew a game could be 30% done when they have been developing it for 3 years... huh, strange.

The game is certainly done, beside DLC that is.

Duke Nukem took 14 years, so that's ... *opens computer calculator* ~7.14% a year so yeah, the game is only 21.42% done...

" I've heard of you... You and your honey-ed words " for having 100 speach lol

Trust me folks, it only gets worse. Steam says I have 142 hours played on skyrim so far, that averages at more then 10 hours per day since release. I'm not the type to afk or idle around either so I just hear the same one liners left and right.

Don't go and mix potions in the alchemy shop in Whiterun if you value your sanity. She will run her greeting every time you mix a potion. EVERY TIME. I heard it about fifty times in a row while I was randomly mashing stuff together in an attempt to identify effects. Lady, the only salve I want to buy is the one I can pack into my ears to stop hearing you.

I can confirm this. I did all I could to not run her through with a blade. I ended up leaving because even when I was done mixing potions she still rand her greeting.

I have a lot.

"Oh you're the new mage at the College of Winterhold?"

I'M THE ARCH-MAGE!

"Oh you're the new companion?"

I'M THE [censored] HARBINGER!

"I am sworn to carry your burdens..." - Lydia

[censored] I am trying to give you a better sword, if you don't want it just [censored] say so!

And well, my final one.

The priest in Whiterun. Constantly whining about Talos. Talos this Talos that.

I shot an arrow through his head and got a few days in jail. It was worth it.

It's amazing how they got like 10 times more voice actors in Skyrim but then really dropped the ball on random dialogue. It's really stupid and I think I prefer Oblivion in terms of dialogue merely because of this. God is in the details Bethesda, you're forgetting them!
