I'd like them (especially the males) to be short, but in Oblivion they where short and fat, I'd like them to be much and much thinner. Black Eyes are cool but I agree with Kovacius that either all or none Bosmer should have them, not a mix. Small horns for males should be optional, some have them, some don't.

Think about it for a second. First off, it does have metaphorical meaning about the bosmer. I refer you to the Monomyth, where upon it says:

the Bosmer, had soiled Time's line by taking Mannish wives.

The took "mannish" wives, not wives who were of the human race. As such, the women are supposed to be tougher and taller.

Second, think of it as what nature will do to animals. All other races have bigger males, smaller females. With the bosmer, it's reversed. Look beyond the superficial.

I'm also trying to dig up MK's reasoning behind the bosmer height and looks.

Longer answer (somewhat unsatisfying without a discussion): it was my commentary on Men versus Women in general, as encapsulated in one of the single, isolated cultures that I could use to express it.

Because most bosmer reside in Valenwood, and I doubt a shaven ape who wishes he was an altmer is a better choice. Also, there's more from MK:

Not exactly, most mammals, reptiles and amphibians have larger males than females, whilst most bugs and fish have larger females than males. And mannish is somewhat ambiguous, mannish could just be referring to their structure or figure.
