The Ultimate Fallout Battle

This is a poll to see which Fallout is the best in the eyes of the people. I personally think it's either Fallout 1 or Fallout 2, but place your votes so we can finally put the Fallout 3 vs. Fallout: New Vegas topics to bed.

I was in tough debate between the games. Fallout 1 had a better main quest, but Fallout 2 had more content. I put Fallout 1, because I enjoyed the Main Quest more, even if Fallout 2 was almost as good (like 1/999999999th away from being as good)

The original Fallout has the best main quest, atmosphere and is the most consistent in the quality of its content in my opinion, so as usual I'll vote for that one.

Fallout 2 had a lot of stuff to do it's true, but I didn't care for a lot of it.

Well I don't think there is a "best" fallout period.

Fallout 1 had the best "fallout experience" but Fallout NV is definately a better game all-around. I mean how can you really say which of those is "best"?

Each has their strong points but I couldn't say which is best... I have played alot more hours in F:NV though.

My favourite is, most certainly, Fallout 2. I just like the story better, the whole thing with the super mutants just doesn't interest me; I still don't quite understand how The Master didn't know the Super Mutants weren't sterile, before setting out on his grand scheme he never tried to produce a super mutant off-spring? I didn't like the time limit either, Fallout 2 just had more stuff to do, a bigger game which mean't I didn't have to follow the story.

I like them all, but probably the first one the least.... I just thought it was WAAAAAAY too short and actually believed it was a demo for Fallout 2 until I looked at the game materials included in my Falloout 1/2 box set back in... 99 I think it was.

For me FO2 takes the lead, only doing so because of it's better companion controls, and increased story. FO1 was excellent however. I haven't played NV yet.

Having recently started a new playthrough, I'd have to go with Fallout 2. It's just great.
Plus, now I see where half the avatars here come from.

POS? Pile of [censored]?

Everyone says BOS svcks, I've never played it so I'll have to take everyone's word for it :P though I have a friend that says he loved the story of it, the game svcked but the story was beautiful. And my teacher did also enjoy it, but he doesn't have that high standard I think ;P

Fallout 2. Fallout 2 took what made Fallout 1 and made it better. Dialogue was rich, locations and quests were brilliantly designed, and the game was so... complete for not even being finished.

Fallout 2 only made some parts better honestly, It was really fun but the humor was a tad bit overdone. (But still hillarious. :D)

Fallout has ooshum towns that are epic sauce.

Well, Fallout 2 had a lot of stuff in it. Lots of improvements from Fallout 1.
But one thing I liked about Fallout 1 more is that everything worked together, from main quests to sidequests.
Fallout 2 might be bigger but it isn't very good at keeping me focused on the main path, which is barely visible.
I'm gonna come clean, I've never finished Fallout 2.
I've played it at least 30 times and each time I've played it I played for a long time. (No lvl 4 characters then quit)
I just never found out how to get to oil rig or where the main quest actually went so my will to play it fades away and then I start up a new character and try it again.
Fallout 1 always have it's main quest there for me to see, while FO2's main quest seems to become more and more blurry and after a while vanish.

So Fallout 1 for me.

My vote is for Fallout 2, but I love all of them except Failout: Brotherhood of Steel. If they had kept the plot canon, I might have voted for Tactics, because I like the 'real-time turn based' gameplay style in it.

For me it's a contest between Fallout 1 and 2, and Fallout 3 and NV.

Between 1 and 2, it's definetly 1. I've finished it at least 3-4 times. Fallout 2 I never finished. It just didn't deliver on a story-level. Sure, there was loads more to do, but it wasn't AS fun to do it. Hence, Fallout 1.

Between 3 and NV it's so far NV. Haven't finished it yet, tho. 3 was great, but this is one up, it seems.

Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel is junk... It's plot is dull, it ruins lore, and the graphics are horrid.

Fallout because it started it all

FO2 a very close second.

New Vegas is awesome and alot like the originals so it gets 3rd.

Fallout Tactics even though its not a RPG like the others its still a great game and is canon.

Fallout 3, if it was the only fallout it would be the best but its not so it gets fourth.

The females are ridiculous. First of all, I'm surprised feminist groups haven't freaked about the two threads of clothes on each of them, and every woman in the wasteland got a boob job?

All I needed to hear was the heavy metal music in the intro, and not hearing Ron Perlman saying 'War, War never changes', to know that game was going to want to make me shoot myself.

If it is to put an end to F3 vs FNV threads when are you going to finish the poll?
