The Ultimate Poll Finals

Post » Wed Mar 30, 2011 10:49 am

I got the 19 most voted options from my http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1179484-the-ultimate-skyrim-poll/. I wanted to wait till i got 500 votes for that poll., but i decided I was close enough.

http://i1080.photobucket.com/albums/j325/J-Money7/UltimatePoll.jpg the minimum Y axis is 300 votes. I did that so you see more of a difference between the options

The format of the last "Ultimate Poll" didn't actually give us what exactly the most wanted thing was, it gave us the most widely accepted thing (due to the multiple answer format) which was non-psychic guards. This poll is designed to decipher the most "most wanted" thing is in the Skyrim Forum. I still have a feeling it will be non-psychic guards though.

It's just a poll for fun pretty much, there's not much to explain. It'll be interesting to see what "the best of the best" actually is.

I voted for Non Pshycic Guards but really I want them all.

This kind of poll, which attempts to rate things in order of importance, is impossible to pull off while only giving people one vote each - especially when more than one option veers very close to being essential.

By only giving people one vote you are polarising the results. To do this poll correctly you would have to take it off the forums to a site with more comprehensive options when setting it up so that each voter ranks each item in order of importance.

As such, I abstain from voting. Nothing conclusive can come from this.

Well I'm not doing market research, I'm just making a fun poll.

Sorry this poll can't be substantial in a research paper, It still has it's merit though... It's not like anyone takes these forum polls too seriously anyway, even if they did have the system you speak of (ordering thins from 1st to last)

Since I'm assuming that Beth (hopefully) fixed the psychic guards already, I voted for the non-hostile critters. I'm sick of seeing an empty world with no squirrels or rabbits. I know there are birds and fish now but thats still not enough.

I'm sorry. I can't find things with zero sociological merit "fun".

Somebody love me.

Well i ended up voting for: Non-Psychic Guards.
Remember it was so annoying if i killed a guard middle of nowhere with no one seeing me and then magically evey Guard in the game knew it.

It will depend on the world, but i hated not having a horse in the Shivering Isles, and I think I will miss that the most if its not in the game. having horses in and not being able to mount and ride them would be disturbing and no horses would feel wrong. Horses compared to vampires in Oblivion where flawless.

Bashable locks and non-psy Guards would also be nice. and I didnt use torches, a lantern though.. I would,

i think Banks could be cool in Skyrim.
A place where you could stash all your values.
Get tips and stuff from the bank about your finance etc.
Borrow money from them. All those kinda stuff.

1.) I wanted non-hostile creatures (or conditionally hostile). This would greatly improve exploring the wilds.

2.) Fishing. If it's anything like Ocarina of Time it would be awesome. Ice fishing in a little shack would be fun, too.

3.) Skill requirements for factions. I want this to apply to your character as well as NPC's so they actually deserve whatever rank they are.

For a moment there I thought I was going to have to make a choice between vampires and getting drunk. That would have been sad.

But then I scrolled down and all was better. :foodndrink:

Looks like I am the only one who voted for getting drunk, are Skjorta and Olfand an inspiration to no one?

First and foremost those pesky psychic guards, I could fart at the Gates of Madness and the guards in Cheydinhal would know about it.

If there are psychic guards I will just smite them, or slow down time and run away

If there are psychic guards I will be known as Guard-Slayer. There's no way I'm gonna be part of a disturbing society where the guards read my mind... again

I voted for Mai'q the liar, then non-psychic guards, then non-hostile critters. It was a tough poll.

Some of these are confirmed now, but I went with...

1) Fishing
2) Mountable horses
3) Hidden bosses

Yeah i figured that non-hostile critters kinda are, and so are boats... but I kept out a couple other that were winners on the last poll, yet they were confirmed (beards for example)

oh well.

A lot of these poll options are things that are already implemented in the game, why are they there?
