Who knows. Budget constraints? Voice actor would kill his voice doing all those lines? Lore to make Cyrodiil elves tamer than Vvardenfell ones?

What we do know is that the Radiant AI demo shown at E3 before Oblivion's release had the old gruff Dark Elf voice. The old Imperial voice too, though the newer one was good enough to not make me miss the old one. I just wish there was more variety though, every male Imperial just sounded angry most of the time.

I'm not sure why, but I find it funny that "Non Psychic Guards" is one of the most popular options.

I think the meme in itsgrady's avatar helps express the sentiments shared by many :P

I just picked what i thought was important. Mainly gender-specific armour, werewolves and vampires, and throwing weapons!

I think people want too much from the devs. Too much can ruin a game. Making the character get fat / thin or get STD etc just takes the attention away from the game. You're constantly worried about you character's physique. Hes suppose to make you feel like a champion and not some teenager hitting pubity and getting spots and stuff. Things like the idea of owning houses but thats already a feature in TES. I don't mind the idea of having relationships. We had a servant in Oblivion. Why not give her a better use? Morrowind had pole dancers. I'm sure some may oblige extras. Something else to spend your hard earned gold on.

And whats with the leggy beasts? I though Morrowind was a pain with this as it meant you couldn't wear boots if you had a beast character, Oblivion was much better. I think furry or scaly feet with claws is quite sufficient. Otherwise the whole armor thing gets effected

Respect for takng the time out to create the ultimate megapoll of megapolls. you have pretty much covered everything in this!! I really hope they do the Non-Psychic Guards and balance this out with something else. Like even a delay on your bounty to make the game seem a little more realistic

There are so many options, you have to read the numbers. The scores appear close all the way across the board... And the percentage polls on multi-select... bleh. Those bars ain't getting much longer.

yeah it's quite annoying. they should switch an option's "percentage voted" to the votes divided by total voters. That would solve this problem

Just because they change the legs back doesn't mean they can't make boots for the beast races. I think that that would be the ideal situation. either that or give them some other advantage.

Great poll, it does a really good job of gathering most or all of the common threads.

Of the top 20 list that was posted earlier, I have a question. I get why all but two are popular (though it may just be exposing a limitation in the poll): getting drunk and public executions. IMHO, it wouldn't be bad to have either of these in the game, but neither would be in my top 20 or even top 40 list. Are there that many people who think these would really add something to the game, or is it just that there's a lot of people who are OK with them?

It would be interesting to take the top 30 or so at the end, and have a follow up that asks "choose your favorite 10".

A lot of the ideas I chose simply because I liked the 'idea' of it. Its not to say I want it just thrown in for the hell of it, or even that I really want it badly.

I just voted yes for the ones I thought were decent ideas. Which happened to be most of them.
