Taylor Brigham-Mormon Remnants

Ahem, not to be too pushy, but Mr. Mash I would like to know what the Follower's stance on a joint Mormon fort occupation is? The Followers and Mormons have a lot more in common than you might think. Of course, the last time a Mormon and Follower joined forces--well--you know. *Taylor chuckles to himself and then regains his composure* Trust me though that won't happen again/

"What exactly do you propose?"

Trust me Charles, the Mormons will be moving into our new lands ASAP. As for the weapons we are offering, as I have said before, we feel the Gun Runners would be more capable of supplying the large arms. You know, your 50 caliber machine guns, and Automatic Rifles. While we can still handle the .45 pistols, the high powered, and shotguns. We also have a schematic for a repeater that we haven't used for twenty-five years.

So which of the big arms schematics are you interested in? I can tell you right now that based on pre-war books, the 50 caliber machine gun can be an incredibly devastating weapon. So that will be the most expensive of the schematics--say 6300 caps?
Charles Bailey - Gun Runners

"We will be interested in buying all of the schematics. I have some familiarity with the M2 and BAR, but I'm wondering what this repeater is. 12,000 - 13,000 seems like a fair price for all three. And once your gun smiths transfer we can start crankimg these out immediately."

"A free exchange of ideas, for starters. Perhaps allow a team of Folliwers to work along side your Knights and Scribes to pool ideas, under your supervision of course. Secondly, we would be interested in fully functioning power armor, and instruction as to its usage. The Followers have guards who could benefit from such training. In exchange, any modifications we make to power armor to improve its functionality, we will provide schematics of these improvements to the Brotherhood. Also, we are interested in obtaining medical technology. Again, as part of a free trade, any medical tech, especially Auto Docs, that you can provide for us, we could setup med stations in your territory to provide your people with free medical assistance. The more you provide us, Elder, the more the Followers can provide you, in the form of free medical aid, even medical training, which would free your resources to be centered elsewhere."

Elder McNamara- Mojave Brotherhood of Steel

*McNamara shifts in his seat uneasily, contemplating the significance of agreeing to these terms.*

"David, I do hope you understand what this means if I accept this deal. Years ago, such an offer would have been shut down almost without question. However...."

*McNamara pauses for a moment.*

".......However, times have unfortunately changed, and the Mojave Chapter has all but been lost to the Western Brotherhood Elders...we can no longer exist in a vacuum here. No matter who or how many may wish it."

*McNamara sighs*

"What strange times we live in. Very well David, I accept these terms of arrangement. However, my only stipulation is with regards to the Power Armor. You will only be given access and training to the lower-tier T-45d models. I simply cannot offer anyone but our own access to the T-51bs."

*McNamara takes a long drink of his cola. Before setting it down, empty.*

I don't feel comforablt falling under House's rule.
How about we form an alliance with you and for your gurantee you won't try to take us over and will help us if anybody else does we will pay 5% of our tax income to House.

We will also let your citizens come an dgo without any need for a passport or anything like that.

And about the mainframe, no thank-you. I have never really trusted robots or computers.
Capo Louie Salvatore- the Salvatore family

"Very well, we will support this equalizer attack as soon as the Van Graffs have been dealt with."

*Louie puts his cigar on a ashtray, still smoking.*

"But how do you mean us to ally with House if we don't let him have a permament presence in Reno, the mainframe? And I don't feel comfortable to send 5% taxes all the way to Vegas for what? An alliance on paper? A few Securitrons? No, I say we don't pay or we will pay less than 5%."

Simon - Van Graffs

Simon shifted in his seat once more, turning his attention to the Bishops and Salvatores. He didn't want any tension between them.

"What if House were to get this mainframe he wants, but disallow any Securitron presence within Reno, and only a rather limited number outside of the city? He'd have his permanent presence, but there would be no need to be weary of the robots or computer. Plus... the robots could steer trouble away from Reno without getting in the way of anybody's business." Simon drank his third glass of wine. "And one more thing I forgot to mention, Mr. Louie Salvatore... it would be appreciated if we could have any blood members of the Van Graff family be transported with the Weapons to the Mojave branch, alive. Gloria and Jean-Baptiste will likely want to deal with their relatives. As for the thugs though, [censored] 'em."

He couldn't resist smirking at the Boomer representative's request to put McNamara "on trial". He sent men into Boomer territory, Simon pondered to himself. What an idiot.

"What exactly do you propose?"

I propose that the Mormons send five of our own to the Mormon Fort, where we will stay and help the Followers provide medical aide, drug recovery programs, and food to the residents of Freeside.

*reaching into his pocket Taylor pulls out a large map and sets it on the table*

While we're on the topic of land, how does this look for the Mormon County?
*He begins to draw a shape on the map*

I believe that should be adequate for our needs, and seeing how most of it is empty wastes, should be enough to set up many large farms to help bring New Vegas into a new era of self sustainability. Again we are willing to negotiate the exact amount of land, and would be willing to give up Vault 22 and some of the area closer to Vegas proper.

While we're on the topic of land, how does this look for the Mormon County?

Cole DeLonge- Mr. House

Cutting into the forest around Mt. Charleston would be cutting into Jacobstown territory, for the most part. I would recommend not taking any part in the forests of Charleston.

I say we just push them back and then form the counsel when we're all equally sized.

Then Mr. House will withdraw his aid and offer of alliance if the only alliance you can offer us is practically a piece of [censored] paper. There needs to be a mainframe for House to oversee business, and House does not feel comfortable about encouraging his citizens to a place that could be hostile without the aid of securitrons.

My offer: Mr. House sends securitrons to aid the Bishop Family and Salvatore Family in overthrowing the NCR in Reno, making it a circumstance of minimal casualties for either family. He will help you get rid of the Wrights and Mordinos if you so please, and divert business between the two cities. One of the more generous offers I've seen. In return, you simply let him keep an eye on his own business by having a mainframe in Reno, and he can have his own seat on the council, considering almost half of Reno's oncoming business will be coming from Mr. House's direction. I don't see the conflict in it, especially considering that Robert Edwin House IS a man, not a robot.

Take it or leave it. Keep in mind that the Salvatore family also has a say in this matter.

Elder McNamara- Mojave Brotherhood of Steel

*McNamara grins amusingly*

"Perhaps you yourself should be brought to trial."

*McNamara raises his voice and stands pushing his chair aside*

"For firing on my men and killing them without provocation. My orders did not include an attack on your base and they were merely a scouting mission. Three Paladins is as per protocol, and furthermore we were unaware that Nellis had been claimed as "your" territory or that you even resided there. Yet you saw the need to blow them up in some sort of ridiculous display of xenophobia and and hubris. Do you set your howitzers on any individuals who sets foot within the range of your guns? Cowardice if I've ever see such a sterling example of it."

*McNamara calms himself and sits back down*

"As for your threats of turning our lands to craters. Go ahead and try. Hidden Valley was built with the express purpose of surviving aerial bombardment of the highest caliber. Which leaves your only tactical option to attempt to breech the base by force. Perhaps you'd like to see how well your flimsy excuses for vault suits match up to Hardened Brotherhood Power Armor?"

"Unless of course, you mean to attack Helios one. In which case, please direct your threats to Mr. House and New Vegas, as that directly concerns them as well. I'm sure they'd be glad to hear of your plans."

Well, the "kind of business" that I speak of will be impossible if Mr. Bishop continues to be this difficult. No. He won't tax you. However, he obviously wants a cut of the money coming in and out of Reno if he's going to encourage his citizens or divert his economy flow. Let's say.... The percentage of new customers you get in Reno from Mr. House, minus 2%, is his cut. This is an incredibly generous offer.

Sander Xenos - Desert Rangers

Cole DeLonge- Mr. House

Consider your request granted. The Gun Runners can supply guns for the resources we can give them for building, while we can arrange to get a bulk of Energy Weapons from the Van Graffs as well.

Thank you. If the we could get a supply of Brush Guns, .44 Revolvers, Trail Carbines, Assault Carbines, and a few Anti-Material Rifles from the Gun Runners, that would be great. We would also need a steady supply of ammunition for all of those weapons.

And you mentioned Energy Weapons? We could some of those as well since a fair number of Rangers have become proficient with them over the years. We could use a few Urban Plasma Rifles, Laser Rifles, and Plasma Defenders -- with all of the appropriate ammo of course.

I would also like to propose a new idea to you, Mr. DeLonge. The southeast area of the Mojave -- Searchlight, Cottonwood Cove, et cetera -- is currently a monster infested hell hole. Searchlight is radioactive, so there's no use trying to build anything there, but the surrounding areas, especially Cottonwood Cove, could become healthy settlements if only that area were safe to travel through. I know you don't care much about frontier communities, but for the sake of protecting your borders from Caesar's Legion, it would be a good idea to have Mojave friendly settlements pop up there.

Here's what I'm thinking: with these new weapons from Gun Runners and the Van Graffs, we'll be able to send a sizable force -- say, 15 rangers -- into that area. We'll scout out the area and then clear it of hostiles, which, as far as we know, are mainly feral ghouls and radscorpions, and then we'll try to revive the buildings in Cottonwood Cove. When we've established a safe base in the area, you can let the word out to travelers that a new settlement is popping up in Cottonwood Cove. We'll protect the area and keep an eye out for Legion. That will be its main purpose of course, to protect the borders of the Mojave from the Legion. It is, after all, one of the best places for river-crossers to land at if they want to get from Legion territory into the Mojave. And who would cross that river other than Legionaries and frumentarii?

Emissary-General Wiliam Vargas

If I may add to this, the Empire can send troops and advisors to aid you guys. We also have large manafacturing sectors in the Empire and are willing to provide Arms. We also still carry the tradition of making the best chems. In total, we can provide you this in defense against NCR.

Well, we rangers don't really use chems, but Stimpaks and Med-X are helpful for injuries. If you want to arrange a deal with Mr. DeLonge to supply the Mojave Army with those items, then I suppose that could be helpful.

(OOC: I'll be off for a while)
