I ran into the missing sound files too, these are the ones that seem to be missing from Sound/Vo/phantoms/:

haunt_death.mp3
phantom_attack2.mp3
phantom_attack3.mp3
phantom_attack4.mp3
phantom_attack5.mp3
phantom_death1.mp3
phantom_death2.mp3
phantom_death3.mp3
phantom_death4.mp3

But, as noted above, you can get them from MCA.


I've also encountered another problem that I'm not sure about. When I encounter frost liches, I get this error spammed to the screen:
"NiAnimation Error: Object "Weapon Bone" not found in NiAnimation."
It appears to be coming from the critter: _MCA_BM_frost_lich01, which uses the nif file: MCA\MCA_FrostLich01.nif, which does, indeed, not have a weapon bone, as far as I can see.

I have the same issue. Also, the Frost Lich's head animated weirdly as if he had an epileptic fit. Might have been a glitch of course.

Has anyone created an archive of the missing files yet? This should be relatively easy with the proper application of Bain for Mash... :unsure: If not I'll grab MCA, pull the sounds out and upload it.

To fix all of the missing sound files, I just made copies of the other phantom ones and renamed the copies

and anyone know how to fix the animation problem on the Frost Lich (I believe that this is the creature, I've uninstalled the mod since then so I'm not sure)

Here are the problems that I know how to fix and how to do it. Actually they are more work arounds then fixes.

Frost lich error: Change the .nif file to whatever you want for each of the frost liches. I use lich 1-4 and ancient lich I believe.

MCA + The Undead phantom head problem: Change all non phantoms from race phantom to race wraith or some other invisibile race. This affects the merchant carts and some ambush npcs. These are suppose to be invisible.

That's all I have found so far.

A morbid meaty masterpiece of rotting horror even better and much more different then the previous version. Its like waking up drenched in sweat screaming in mind shattered insanity til ones voice is gone and a whispered thought says what a buetiful nightmare! Thanks Neoptolemus for this evolutionary sequel and glad to see your still modding and blessing us with your presence and gifts when your extremely busy schedule allows. Is The Undead-compatible MCA file currently hosted anywhere besides ElricM? I'm afraid my antivirus won't let me load their website anymore so I can't download anything from them. If it's not hosted anywhere else, I would very much appreciate it if someone would take the time to upload it somewhere where it can be downloaded without acquiring a virus in the process... :^)

no it is not.

Time ago, I had a version compatible with only Tribunal, another for only Bloodmoon, another for Bloodmoon + Tribunal, and another for The UNdeads by Neoptolemus.
THen I realised that eveytime I wanted to update the mod, I had to update all of these 4, and I made only one version, that requires both expansions, and not compatible with the mod by neoptolemus.

I'm having a problem with this mod. Every skeleton is causing a Bip01 Tail error and a host of other animation errors (basically all of them, I got tired of clicking yes to see what the next one was). LizTail's AnimKit can't fix it due to an error with an unknown NIF. The ghouls, vampiric mists, zombies and mummies work just fine.

I can click Yes To All through the errors and the game still works, but the skeletons have no animation beside swinging their arms, and they can't move. I can hear their skeletal footsteps but they swing their arms while their legs stay frozen.

It makes this mod unplayable. I tried to apply the Standard Animations with the AnimKit, since it fixed my problem with Children Of Morrowind. But it won't fix this one.

I don't know nearly enough about animations to know what's wrong or how to fix it. The skeletons all use player animations right? It's strange because regular skeletons work, just not the ones from this mod, and as you know over half this mod is skeletons. The only difference I'm seeing between this mod's skeletons and the regular skeletons is the regular ones have a Walkforward1h animation, and this mod's have no animation (can't even click the button, it's greyed out). Even in the CS Preview window the _mca skeletons have no animation while the other _mca creatures do.

In the meantime I'm not using this mod. svcks but I have no idea how to fix this mess.

EDIT: Problem is solved. Animations work again after I messed with the AnimKit a while. The Frost liches are still screwed up, holding their right arms out and having their heads still spin or turn in unnatural ways...one even has multiple "faces", with 2 eyes in the back of it's head.

Anyone know how to fix this other than giving them new NIFs?

I came across a Phantom Archer just now, and the death sound is missing, as well as one more thing.

Check back on previous pages for similar reports of those missing files. You should be able to get them from MCA.

Thanks, I didn't think to look back. Going to dump the whole of MCA in my Data Files, without overwriting. That should do it, I hope.

Unfortunately, this isn't really that excellent in its current state. :^( If everything contained in this mod was finished and working, it would truly be an unmatched undead mod in size and quality... but as you can learn with a quick look at this thread, this release is quite incomplete and riddled with bugs.

And no, I don't know of an alternative download location.
