Alright, that didn't fix it. Even completely removing Cheydinhal Falls and Kvatch Rebuilt, doing a clean save, and then loading them back in does not fix the problem. I have not seen compatibility patches for anything else that I didn't already have. Any other ideas? I don't know what other mods i have that could concievably affect Cheydinhal.

Edit: Okay, fixed it. For some reason that is beyond me, Colourwheel's sixy overhaul edits that cell (30,23) and it lost its water height value. Manually adding the correct value to the Colourwheel entry for the cell fixed it. Very strange.

If Colourwheel's mod doesn't need to edit the cell, I would suggest you contact the author and ask him to remove the edit to the cell. It is quite common for mods to accidentally edit things they don't need to and the modder not even be aware due to the bugged Construction Set. TES4Edit can be used to remove accidental edits. If on the other hand the Colourwheel mod needs to edit the cell (if it places a non-persistent object into the cell) then it is intentional and cannot be undone.
I just downloaded the mod, and indeed it is an accidental edit, and can be safely removed, along with some other similar edits.

It may be that Colourwheel's sixy Overhaul should be loaded before the ULs rather than after, unless there is some specific reason why it would need to load after.

Note that the UL changes the water height in the cell from default of 0 and raises it up to be visible. By containing the same cell, the Colourwheel mod has not lost the water height value, it merely contains it at the default vanilla value of 0 (since that's what it was at originally). I am surprised that tagging the UL and rebuilding the bash patch with Import Cells didn't work.

Tywele and PlanB are currently handling the German compilations.

The Eastern Peaks is currently not included, as it is still being translated, but will certainly make an appearance before long.

Not sure if this has come up here before (my search fu failed to find anything on these boards) but it's mentioned in the UL The Dark Forest Nexus discussion.

Using TES4LODGen 3.0.15 I wasn't able to generate things so that the dark trees would show up in the distance. I switched to 2.2.2 and the dark trees show up fine. A quick whizz round my usual testing route (start near Bravil head down to Leyawiin via Bruma and then back through Elsweyr - all using a horse from one of Arthmoor's Alternative Beginnings) didn't reveal any LOD problems with using 2.2.2

So, if anyone has issues with the Dark Forest trees not showing up in the distance, try the stable version of TES4LODGen.

Further to the Cheydinhal Falls water level issue a few posts back, I've found conclicts with Better Clocks for Better Cities 2_0.esp, TrailsOfCyrodiil-BC patch.esp [Version 4.7.0] and Better Cities - Unique Landscape Cheydinhal Falls.esp [Version 5.0.0].

I didn't think to change any bash tags on anything; what I did was http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1333702-rel-boss-for-oblivion/page__view__findpost__p__20079714 that it works if loaded in the order I just listed them. I suppose the tag on the main Falls esp would probably have solved the whole issue, right?

Further to the Cheydinhal Falls water level issue a few posts back, I've found conclicts with Better Clocks for Better Cities 2_0.esp, TrailsOfCyrodiil-BC patch.esp [Version 4.7.0] and Better Cities - Unique Landscape Cheydinhal Falls.esp [Version 5.0.0].

I didn't think to change any bash tags on anything; what I did was http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1333702-rel-boss-for-oblivion/page__view__findpost__p__20079714 that it works if loaded in the order I just listed them. I suppose the tag on the main Falls esp would probably have solved the whole issue, right?

Hi, and first off thanks for the fantastic mod, and the continued support through patches and etc. I can't imagine playing Oblivion again without UL!

I'm in the process of reinstalling and remodding Oblivion for my second playthrough. I've installed the UL Compilation and now am getting consistent crash on exit. I'm already running Fast Exit and WeOCPS. I'm using OBMM for all my mods and the UL Compilation downloaded in Omoddable form from TESNexus. I've reactivated, removed, redownloaded and re-create the omod, etc, and am pretty sure it's UL causing the crash on exit. I've run around a few cells in game and everything seems to work ok wth UL installed, so I've thought about living with the crash on exit, but would rather sort out the instability rather than eventually lose a save with 100 hours in...

edit....this post was originally longer, including my full load order and other possibly helpful stuff, but the Forums are rejecting that post with "No Permission to Post Links Yet" even though my post has no links... let's see if this version gets through...

You shouldn't be using WeOCPS at all. It's way dated and just causes a bunch of problems by delaying the inevitable. A crash on exit isn't really instability. It's inherent to the game. Annoying? Yes, but it doesn't really cause many issues.

Thanks. It is a little tricky trying to figure out what's current and what's not. So your advice: remove WeOCPS and don't worry about the crash on exit? Is there a more up-to-date utility I should replace WeOCPS with?

BTW Forums is still not letting me post my load order, rejecting the reply with "You don't have permission to post links yet," even when I type in the load by hand. Weird. Anyway, there's nothing unusual in it or anything that didn't work for me before. The last thing I installed before UL was QTP3R, which has seemed to be quirky in the past but this time everything worked great until I went on to install UL.

Just get rid of it. There really isn't anything to replace it with. FE should be updated with FE2. You also should be using OBSE, just to let you know now. OBSE v20 is the most current (my notation there may be wrong, but the idea is still the same). Not sure what your mod setup is like. IE: what tools you use and all of that jazz. So it's kinda hard to help you get things up and going properly.

My mod load isn't that big (yet), just Oblivion, SI, Knights, and all the DLC except Battlehorn... the 3 latest unofficial patches for Ob, SI, and the DLC...SM Plugin Refurbish....Elsweyr and its unofficial patch....Alive Waters (No Fish) and Enhanced Water.....Realistic Leveling and Alternative Start. All latest versions and checked for SI options, ordered by BOSS. Sorry that list isn't neater and not in load order - I'm trying to get around Forums' rejection of my load in list form.

For tools, I am running OBSE v2.0 but not OBGE. I try to use OBMM for everything - tried twice to get the hang of Wrye bash and BAIN but just am not comfortable with them. Besides WeOCPS and Fast Exit I have Streamline 3.1b, Oblivion Stutter Reducer, and Elys USV.
In UL I skipped installing Bravil Barrowfields, Cliffs of Anvil, and Rolling Hills.

After getting past UL I plan to install Better Cities (closed), Frans, MMM, Cobl. Then a bunch of village/location mods; I already have their UL compatibility patches all lined up and plan to avoid any location mods that don't expressly state UL compatibility or for which patches are available. Finally I'll add some gameplay mods like Reneers GO, Realistic Fatigue, SDR and maybe some Duke Patrick stuff, as well as body replacers, but I don't anticipate issues between those and UL. I find the modding / testing / tweaking process fun but un-immersive, so I'm trying to get the install fully squared away before getting into a real playthrough.

Agreed.....I posted more details of my planned install here in case you'd foresee issues specifically with UL. I guess not, so....deleting WeOCPS and moving on! Thanks again.

If you're still having problems, then uninstall the UL compilation and install the ULs separately, as we only provide support for the separate downloads of each UL. Kerghan55 supports the compilation, but does not visit this thread (at least I don't recall ever seeing Kerghan here), so any issues with the compilation should go to the Nexus comments for the compilation.

Typically a crash on exit is caused by one mod deleting a vanilla object, and another mod loaded after editing that same object. This confuses the game as the object has been deleted so does not exist for the later mod to do anything with it, so the game panics and fails to exit smoothly. Cleaning all mods with TES4Edit might resolve, but otherwise, just accept that this is normal behaviour for a modded Oblivion.

I noticed a floating tree near the Ayleid ruin Lindai and its step was floating in the air. Did anyone else notice that? :dry: :blink: :confused: :biggrin:

It would be a great help if you didn't provide the least amount of information you can. With that information, before doing anything I first have to find out where Lindai is so I can find out which UL covers the location (assuming any do), then I need to waste time looking all around the ruin for this specific treet and step as you haven't provided a screenshot nor any Form IDs so I don't even know where around the ruin to look, and so could waste 20 minutes looking around, and if it's caused by a conflict with another mod then I won't even see the problem.
Name the UL in question, give a screenshot of the tree and step with enough of the surroundings around the objects to help find the location. Give the cell grid coordinates or best of all, give the Form IDs of the tree and the step.

My bad... I did not think that far. Thought a modlist would help but I guess it did not. The UL mod is LushWoodlands and it's right outside the Ayleid ruin, Lindai. Not sure how to find Form IDs. It's basically the same problem I saw in the nexus page for the mod here: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=11164.

Lindai is east of Chorrol and the closest dungeon is the Yellow Tick Cave. Again I apologize for giving you so little information to check on.

If you don't know how to get the coordinates or formID's, a screenshot at least would be nice. But think I've spotted what you mean. Cell -8,23, formID's for the steps and shrub are c364 and c36d respectively. It's one of the steps leading to the entrance.

Not sure how to find Form IDs.

Install (at least) one of these:

I actually use them both, since their functionalities are slightly different, but if you just need a FormID, RefScope is a bit more straight forward.

If you run with a lot of mods, you really need to have utilities like this installed for general troubleshooting.
