the unmarked cave

"needs a key" usually indicates this is a quest. Where might I find the quest giver ? Thanks

You have to be more specific than: "the unmarked cave" Try searching UESP.

Does vanilla Oblivion have unmarked locations? I know OOO has at least one - Grave Ground Cave. Is that the one you're talking about?

There was originally going to be a quest about that, but it was cut. The "Red Queen" rumors in Cheydinhal related the quest supposedly. The only way you can get in is be using the console to unlock the door. Even then, there isnt much worth there.

The unmarked cave is named "unmarked cave".. It's just north of the Imperial City and Just a tad west of Bleaker's way.
ps I don't have a clue what vanilla means in this game !! Thanks
