As a substantial amount of bugs, glitches and crashes are being reported on many of the threads posted on these forums, this thread is being created in order to help organize the reports into one thread for the benefit of Bethesda as they attempt to identify the problems specific to each person. This will hopefully allow them to work a patch out for each problem.


Please identify the problem you are having with the game primarily. Along with at what point after the games launch it is having this problem.


Also answer these questions which have been provided by Gstaff:

• What iOS are you running on?


• What device (and version) are you playing with?


• Have you turned off your phone since downloading the game?

Suggestions:

Make sure that you attempt to restart your phone before posting an error report. This seems to be fixing the problem for a numerous amount of people.

only bug I've run into thus far is that when I get a woman pregnant in my 3-block large residence hall I'm unable to remove her. I can't send her back to work, however once she gives birth everything is fine. Restarting doesn't seem to help but its not all that intrusive since it only lasts until the baby is born. Only one pregnant woman gets stuck as I once had 2 get pregnant at the same time and there was just the one that I was unable to send back to work.. It's occurred 3 times with different women each time..

Free rock removal exploit: buy something to place in your vault. Make sure you have just enough and nothing more as this will drain the remaining caps. Once you get the green placement icons DO NOT place your building. Crush as many rocks as you want until your broke, and THEN place the building. It will remove "x" which is your leftover cap amount and the building gets placed!

I'm on an iPhone 6. I was able to birth a new dweller, but recently I tried to simply select the dweller from the "dweller menu" (top left corner?) and it locked on him. I did give him a custom name and everything, but at this point I literally cannot deselect him. This has led to me getting the animations which seem to denote that i am running low on resources such as water, electricity, and food. I have no way of knowing whether these are actually affecting the vault because i cannot go back to the general set up of the zoomed out view. All i can see is the dweller and his stats/equipment options. The only change in interface i can make beyond just following him around on his useless journey (he was not assigned a room) is to see optional armor and weapon selections which as of now i have none so can just select fists and vault outfit.

I wouldn't normally submit a bug to a forum but as of now the game is unplayable in this state so I figured I would say say something. I downloaded it yesterday so i haven't sunk any real time into it but if it is game breaking it might as well be out there. Thanks for the consideration and I love the game when it works!

(P.S. Closing out the iPhone and loading the game back does not fix the problem. I suspect it is continuing to affect the save because dwellers happiness has dropped to 10% (lowest it can go from my current experience) and he is beginning to be irradiated. Just wanted to make it known that I have tried most of what I can think of to fix the issue.)

I am experiencing constant crashing. I can't get past the load screen. I'm running the app on an iPad mini with iOS version 8.3.

It seems that this happens whenever a new baby is born. Occasionally I'll hear the sound before it crashes.

I have a iPhone 5 latest iOS.


Basically it ran fine for me but if i opened Fallout while not connected to my WiFi it would close and will not open back up, If i tried to re-open the game it would load the main screen for about 5 seconds minimize itself to my homepage but would not close my game simply just stayed on in the background, Same thing happens when I tried to buy some lunchboxes. But if i remove the game from my phone and redownload it, It works again, Hope they fix it soon my 50 dwellers most likely dead at this point seeing as i havent been able to get on in a few days :'(

After playing for about 12 hours over several days my Vault 502 no longer loads. I am running iOS 8.3 on an IPad Air 2. It all started when I sent Sara Lyons out into the wasteland to explore. After about 3.5 hours I noticed she was no longer in my roster, and my vault count had decreased by 1, from 29 to 28. I know there is zero chance she could have died that fast, as I had just checked a few minutes before and she had full health, 2 stim packs, and 2 Rad-X. Also she was level 29 with Power Armor and a Laser rifle, so she wouldn't go down that easy.

I rebooted thinking it would clear the glitch, and since then I can longer load my vault. It just exits back to the IOS home screen after selecting it. I have tried rebooting my IPad several times to no avail. I even still get updates on the vault in my notification screen, even though I can't load it !

Someone please help My vault dwellers need me, and Sara has been out in the wasteland way for almost 18 hours now !

Three Dog is my number one explorer (I wonder if he comments on his activities the whole time he's out there?). I had him knock up one of my ladies and then sent him back out. Got an AppCrash at some point and that vault will not load no matter what I do. I've power-cycled this phone more this week than in the last year. Tried loading another vault, backing out to the main menu and selecting my first vault. Tried starting a new vault and then loading my first vault.

My first and best vault...haven't seen the inside in >24hours.

One baby of mine is mysteriosly missing. It ain't dead nor things like that. Kids half sister happily loiter around but not my first born kitchen worker. Oh well time to make more kitchen workers then.

I've been having issues with the first five dwellers I've gotten pregnant, it's been three days and none of them have had kids yet. All the while the newer dwellers I get pregnant don't have the same issue and have their kids within 3-4 hours... Suggestions? I would restart but I've already spent money on this vault and have some good dwellers.

Have workers complaining of working around a corpse but nobody in my vault is dead. Someone did die in there but I revived them almost immediately. This is tanking happiness. The room is a fully upgraded power plant.

I'm a big fallout fan and I've been playing since release and it was fine for the most part, only a couple of crashes here and there. I'm on a ipad 2 fully upgraded to last ios (yes, i am now aware that it's not supported, but i'm pretty sure they did not stated that right away and even so, we should not be allowed to download something we cannot play) and i already bought lunchboxes (yes, silly me) and it was working fine until i went to bed last night, but now my save game won't load anymore, if i try to load it crashes all the time, i've already restarted my ipad and killed background apps, no luck, i still can't load my save game. I'm sad because i invested time and money on this before been told this app doesn't work on my device. Now my beautiful vault will perish without care and my money will be lost.

Running ver. 1.0.2 of the game on my iPhone 6+ with iOS 8.3. Although I noticed bugs here and there, the game never crashed on me until this morning, and I've been playing since the release. When it first crashed, I had just opened the game after a child had been born and was naming it. Crash 1. Afterwards, the game crashed on load. Force quit, restart. Crash 3. Restarting doesn't fix, can't get the menu loaded to choose a different vault. Don't want to uninstall and lose my 70+ dwellers

Hello Bethesda, your game is absolutely awesome!! Only complaint is that it keeps crashing/force closing. I am using an iPhone 4s, I know it isn't optimised and I don't expect the game to be perfect but I've played the game since the second it was released and now it won't let me get on the game at all. It lets me select my vault but after that it won't load at all. Please sort this problem as soon as possible my dwellers need their overseer. Many thanks Luke smith

Same problem here. I think the women that I have that are staying pregnant forever conceived their pregnancies in a living quarters that I previously deleted.

I wish there were ways to send dwellers out of the vault so that you don't have to keep glitched dwellers indefinitely.

I'm also having the constant crashing problem. I was able to load the game last night but since this morning every time i try I see the loading screen for a few seconds then it crashes to my homescreen. When I force-quit the app it appears to still be running in the background. I'm using an iPhone 6 with iOS 8.3 so this is not a compatibility issue.

I was running the game fine for a day or so on an iPad Air updated to iOS 8.3. I enjoyed it so much that I splashed out on some lunch boxes. Now it won't even start up. It just crashes on the loading screen. It's still there when I double-click, but won't start from there either. Not sure if anything specific triggered the crash. I had about 26 dwellers, one on the way back from the wasteland, a couple of pregnancies. Nothing extreme, really. I've tried several soft resets, but no luck there. Not going to uninstall/reinstall, as I understand that wipes not only your progress, but purchases!


I sent a report yesterday to Bethesda support, but have not yet heard back. I'll post their reply here if/when I get one.


Such a shame, really, as the game was SO fun while it worked.

After starting my 3rd Vault, I'm very quickly becoming turned off too all things Fallout. No ammount of restarting fixes these issues.

MAJOR PROBLEM:

As I've said, I've started 3 Vaults and each one upon the birth of its 29th Vault resedince has locked me out entierly, crashing every time I try to load one up. I can't even deleat any of the Vaults because the game crashes on that screen as well, it even crashed the entire iPad once, causing a forced restart.

Frankly I'm becoming worried about trying to deleat the app itself because I'm afraid this piece of crap game will brick my device, and if thats the case sure as [censored] you can bet money on Bethesda replacing my tech, even if I have to go to their corporate HQ in person. But I digress. Attached below is a list of the additional bugs I've been forced to deal with in the past 48 hours. This list was included in my initial post on the board and has been updated to reflect any changes I may have experience between my initial posting and now.

ADDITIONAL PROBLEMS:

1.) I've not been able to get the game to run for longer than 15 consecutive minutes, every single time I play.

2.) More often than not the game crashes before or during the initial load screen.

3.) I haven’t been able to play the game for the past 12 hours because it crashes on the load screen regardless of which Vault I load.

4.) It crashes when Dwellers mate, on average, 1 out of every 4 times.

5.) It crashes when Dwellers give birth, on average, 1 out of every 3 births.

6.) It crashes when I Rush production on a room, not at the start of the Rush, but upon its completion.

7.) It crashes when I build something, be it room or elevator, on average 1 out of every 6 times.

8.) It crashes when I accept Vault Dwellers. If the first person I've accepted is still moving when I place the second, the game crashes, every time.

9.) Moving more than 4 consecutive Dwellers into different rooms causes the game to crash, on average 1 out of every 4 times. Something that becomes extreamly damaging if I'm being attacked or have rooms on fire. It's resulted in countless Dweller deaths.

10.) It crashes if you click on anything before the full animation for the previously thing you've clicked on is complete it would seem.

WHAT I'M USING:

I'm on an iPad3 which is updated and running iOS 8.2. There's no excuess for delivering such an obviously broken expierence.


I would classify my frustration with this game as extremly high at this point. I will be posting the content of this message into a new post entierly, as I believe my problems to be extreme compared to some of you.

I'm currently experiencing an error that had been occurring more frequently as I increased my population size.

My vault is beginning to crash every 3 to 10 minutes of game play which can be extremely frustrating at time.

I'm playing on an ipad 3, with iOS 7.

Turning the device off and on has not fixed this problem on the ipad.

However, on my iphone the game is running fluently.

I'm having a problem where I can load the app, but when I try and load my saved vault, the app crashes. It only started happening last night and I'd put about 10 hours into the save in the days before that.

I'm using a 16GB iPad 4 (model: A1458) with iOS 8.3

Restarting the device has not solved the problem.
