Seeing as my team is in it's 40's I need to do a bit of training, any recommendations?
Also what will I do about my Dragonair? It's level 40 and doesn't evolve until level 55 and I won't be able to reach that level before I face the Elite Four. Should I put it in storage? I could catch one of the legendary dogs and use as a replacement maybe? I will bring Dragonair back out and use it at Kanto.

Oh, no thanks. I can pokesav one myself, but I found it took the fun out of it if I used it to complete the pokedex. So far I've gotten 492 legitimately, I'm just waiting for a legit Arceus.

Yeah I gave up on that because there's no way I'm going to get anywhere near an event in my country, so unless they start doing wifi events I'll stick with that. Unless I can somehow get an azure flute into pearl and catch myself one there.

I've kind of given up on getting it directly from an event, so I'm just constantly trawling forums for someone with a legit one.

I spent the better part of two days just grinding in Victory Road. Got Typhlosion, Starmie, and Nidoqueen up to level 50, and Dragonair up to level 45. I was going to keep on grinding in there to get Pinsir up to the 40s before hitting the elite four, but seeing as I've managed to beat them at last I have better options in Kanto. To be honest I didn't use Dragonair at all against any of the Four. It has a shameful movepool (Dragon Rush has 75% accuracy? Really?) and poor defense.

Starmie basically won all of the battle with Lance. If not for its Blizzard knocking out all the Dragonites I would have lost for sure. Even took a Thunder from one of them and still survived. So far Starmie is the only Pokemon I've had that's really impressed me. Not as much as Torterra did in Plat, but enough to keep it for a long time.

Don't know what to do with Nidoqueen. After all of that grinding to get it up to level 50 too. Ground/Poison just has too many common weaknesses.

Nidoqueen and Nidoking are amazing. My Nidoqueen is one of the prime reasons I was able to beat the elite four and the Kanto gyms. It's up to 53 after beating Blue, but it's got a choice scarf with Earth Power, Blizzard, Thunder, and Surf. It has weakness to common attack types, but its movepool is just so good.
