I just bought HeartGold from gamestop. I really wanted SoulSilver (nostalgia) but the guy said gold players get a bonus egg or something, because the original gold never sold that well. Was he just making this up, or is there really a bonus pokemon for gold users?

That gamestop ran my gamecrazy/hollywood video out of business, too. [censored]s, the whole lot of them. Gonna swap out HG for SS tomorrow (Guy did say I could do that, a silver lining for this sad story. Long story short, I told him it was for my brother :blush: and he said if he didn't like it, he could swap them.

I cant bring myself to do that. I've heard of the horror stories of my friends waiting in line for their pre-order of the game, surrounded by children and their parents. I can only imagine their shame.

I walked in Game Stop on release day like a champion,pushing my way through the candy and mountain dew fueled beasts that lurked in the aisles before me.After the great struggle was over and I got my game made for kids 10 years younger then me like a real man,and walked out victorious.

Srsly though,you really have no reason to be embarrassed because you want to play a game.

Unless it's My Little Pony or Hello Kitty Adventure or something,then you can and should be embarrassed.

From what I've seen, the piracy rates are so high for the DS that no matter what game you get, if you're not a kid, people think that you should be embarrassed. I don't think that of course, but that seems to be a common opinion.

Of course you can avoid any odd looks by just buying your games online. :shrug:

AFAIK, I've never gotten any odd looks when I buy my DS games, and I've bought stuff like Harvest Moon, which has http://www.dsjuegos.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/03/box-l.jpg I've ever seen.

I like the video where someone belly drum/baton passes to a level 100 bidoof, who then proceeds to utterly destroy every legendary the other guy has using Return. Darkrai, Dialga, Ho-oh, all of them got demolished.

That reminds me. For some reason the announcer in the Spanish version is so much better. I can't understand half of it (I can understand http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b8IRZplRXGE though), but I find myself watching the whole thing just to listen to the announcer.
