Will anyone consider temporarily trading me a pokemon with Pokerus so my pokemon can get the virus?

I will give you a pokemon with pokerus...I have a few. Hold on a sec, gonna get my pearl friend code.

The stat difference will be more noticeable when the pokemon's level is higher. Your 100 EVs in speed and attack are not lost; the pokemon will grow more in speed and attack than it otherwise would when it levels. At level 100, 4 EVs are equal to one point of the stat.

However the vitamins are generally expensive for what they do; with the "power" held items and the Pokerus I can fully EV train a new pokemon in ~30 minutes or so from battles.

Bleh, that's why I think EV training is useless. You don't see much effect at all until level 100 anyways. :meh:

Ok, how about these for rules for a tourney:

No Hacks
No Duplicate Pokemon
D/Cing is automatic disqualification.
All battles are level 100 wifi.
These Pokemon are banned: Arceus, Darkrai, Deoxys(all forms), Dialga, Giratina(both forms), Groudon, Ho-oh, Kyogre, Latias, Latios, Lugia, Manaphy, Mew, Mewtwo, Palkia, Rayquaza, Shaymin(both forms), Wobbuffet, Wynaut.

Everything else is fair game.
Tell me how you like these rules...these are just suggestions, I wouldn't mind changing a few if they are unpopular.

Disconnecting your game right before you are about to lose.
It's very annoying and it doesn't count as a victory for the other person(or so I think, I haven't battled in awhile, so I don't quite remember.)

He traps pokemon with his power, and once he uses encore, you are screwed. He's very cheap to use, imo.

I think level 50 battles are better than level 100 battles, but that is my opinion.

Not like it matters in either case, since I definitely won't be anywhere near battle-ready any time soon in either Diamond or SoulSilver.

I like both to be honest, but the reason I prefer 100 a little more is because your pokemon can take full advantage of their IVs and EVs.

Turns it into too much of a raw power fight, IMO, which is also why I prefer 3 v 3 or double battles to full 6 v 6 battles.

I love double battles so much fun.

Alright, thanks. How do I spread it to my other pokemon? I've heard that I just battle with the pokemon that has it and it spreads to every pokemon in my party.

What I do is take the infected pokemon and battle with it, then switch to the pokemon I want to have pokerus. I battle against weak wild pokemon, and after I switch, I run away and check to see if the pokerus spread. It always works in a few tries of that.
Make sure that you keep the infected pokemon in a box when you aren't spreading the virus, because if you leave it in your party overnight, then it will be cured forever.

Just tell me when you want to trade, I'll be on these forums today for awhile now.

I've got one least question about EV training: After I kill all of the pokemon that I need to kill for my EV's to be the way I want them, can I kill any other pokemon I want without fear of messing them up?

Once you have 510 EVs, that pokemon cannot get more, so it wouldn't matter what pokemon you killed after you maxed out the EVs.

You kill pokemon :cold: Meanie!!!

To answer your question: once you have maxed out your EVs (510), then it doesn't matter what you battle, as you can't get any more EVs.

Maybe I'm just stupid, but how on earth do you EV train?? Is it just battling certain pokemon or what?

Can someone explain this to me?

Yeah. It's just grinding on one type of pokemon, only the goal isn't XP. For instance you'd have to battle and defeat 20 Geodude to get like 1 Defense EV. It takes about 4 Defense EVs to equal 1 point of defense, and even then only at level 100.

At least that's how I see it. :hehe:

So that means I've secretly been EV training without knowing for quite a while. Yayyy!

1. You can only get 510 EVs

2. You can only put 255 in any one stat, but 252 is the max that matters (above that is wasted)

3. Fight pokemon that give you the EV you want (http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/List_of_Pok?mon_by_effort_value_yield)

4. It is best to use it with an http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/EV-enhancing_item like Macho Brace, also possibly with Pokerus pokemon (which also boosts EV)

5. Another good thing is to get the pokemon to have fitting http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Nature, also trying to breed good IVs (which is mostly try-try-try)
