My friend is going to get heart gold so he is going to give me a totadile and chicorita then he will get a cindaquil allowing me to breed them so he can have a full set of starters as well. Friendship ftw.

It's kinda like minesweeper. I like it better than the slots..I never played them anyway. Whenever I want something from the gamecorner, I just buy the coins until I have enough. I hope you can do that on HG/SS, unfortunately, I don't think you can..

Slots were a little too much reliant on chance to be all that useful to me. I'm kind of happy about the way the Voltorb Flip game looks.

Which raises an important question:

Ditto: a breeder's best friend

or

Breeder: a Ditto's best friend

:P

In either case, the proper Ditto death sentence is death by snu-snu :P

Is a high level ditto worth putting in a team? My team currently ends up looking like this

Level 68 Machamp
Level 65 Altaria
Level 60 Walrein (needs to level up some more)
Level 60 Vileplum (again needs some work)

Andthen the last two I shift between a group. Occasionally legendaries if I feel cheap. But I usually use a pinsir who is a fighting equipped. Or Armaldo, I also use a Rhydon. But I'm thinking of replacing a slot with a permanent Dusclops until I can evolve it.

Also, I have a dream team of Umbreon, Flareon, Glaceon, Leafeon, Jolteon, and Espeon/Vaporeon. The first 5 I know I want, but the Espeon looks cool because I love psychic type, but Vaporeon looks cooler. I just don't really like Water type all too much when I'm fighting.

Depends. Ditto is 100% situational, and can either destroy the enemy or fall flat on it's face. You have to know what moves the enemy has, and how they will affect their own types, and when to pull a transformation.

I once fought a level 40ish Ditto with my level 60 Gengar. It transformed, used Shadow Ball, and damn near KO'd my Gengar right then and there.

I would say definitely no. Ditto is useless out of breeding IMO (Transform isn't all that useful in most cases since most pokemon are strong to their own type).

I guess I'll keep my ditto a breeder. It does make sense. Also, is Dark super effective against ghost? I'm confused, since whenever I use a ghost against a ghost type, one move will almost KO the other. Its strange, because usually ghost types practically crap Dark type moves.

Also, who else hates getting paralyzed and CONFUSED. I hate confusion so much... but getting paralyzed around the same time is hell.

Yes, dark is super effective against ghost. Ghost is also super effective against ghost. Dark and steel resist ghost moves.

Can I just say that that is really confusing... I mean, Dark and Ghost moves are practically hand in hand... well, thats throwing me for a loop...

I'm starting to get Voltorb Flip figured out. I have about 850 coins right now after 30 minutes with it.

Well looks like I won't be playing HG for a while. My brother somehow broke the top screen of my DS off.

I wish I had HG or SS and a DS right now... :sadvaultboy:

Stupid me, giving my DS to my brothers (which they quickly lost).

Word of warning to anyone with siblings, never ever ever give your siblings your old videogames or consoles, no matter how much you don't think you'll use it again.

They learn the higher level moves earlier on.

At the cost of having slower stat gains, and thus lower stats. No use in getting Flamethrower a little earlier if it means losing Sp.Atk points.

Once the pokemon evolves, the stats even out. You don't end up with a weaker pokemon in the end by staying off it's evolution a bit.
