I guess we'd use official rules. No legendaries and such. If people are interested we should set sign-ups and a date (couple of weeks from now?) for this thing so that we're all able to build and train a team.

Yea, we would have to use some sort of tiers system or everyone would just use legendaries like Arceus and Deoxys A and stuff.

Gold and silver did everything right which for some reason were lost in D/P and R/S. I hope that you can travel to other regions in future games. I hovever, can't beat tge third gym leader. Her damn miltank is making my pokemon attracted to her while she kicks their ass! Can't they tell that she is a husband beater!!!!

You can catch Nidoran Males in the grassy areas north of Goldenrod, and you can catch Nidoran Females with the Pokewalker. They both learn the fighting type move Double Kick very early (Level 9, I think.). Just load up a team with Nidorans and spam Double Kick on Whitney's Miltank without switching any of them out, maximizing your potential damage output and minimizing the entry damage.

As a plus, spamming Double Kick ensures her Clefairy is taken out before it can Metronome an annoying attack like Stealth Rock.

Just picked up HG yesterday; haven't put in too much time in yet, but impressed by what I've seen so far! Only problem is my Pokewalker didn't seem to want to connect; had to hold it literally right next to the game to get it to detect it.

Alright, I think that I'm having a problem with my new found EV training scheme. I just obtained a level 1 sneasel out of an egg. Since the two stats I'm going to train will be Attack and Speed, I bought 10 Protein and 10 Carbos from some store. I then used them all on the level 1 sneasel. They had no effect on the stats of the pokemon, even when I leveled it up. What's the problem?

The stat difference will be more noticeable when the pokemon's level is higher. Your 100 EVs in speed and attack are not lost; the pokemon will grow more in speed and attack than it otherwise would when it levels. At level 100, 4 EVs are equal to one point of the stat.

However the vitamins are generally expensive for what they do; with the "power" held items and the Pokerus I can fully EV train a new pokemon in ~30 minutes or so from battles.

Ok, thanks for the help! And the reason I bought the drugs is because I had 800,000 dollars to spend on them and I have no Pokerus. :shrug:

You just need to improvise! Had you bothered reading Dusty's backstory in the game, you would see that the reason he battles is because his cat was murdered. To avenge his dead kitty, he glued it's ears to a hat and painted them blue. Then to make the little spike on his chest, he took a kitchen knife and glued it to his shirt. The rest of the clothes he stole in a robbery at the mall. And you could do the same thing!

... Pokemon is very hardcoe when you take the time to make up ridiculous stories for stuff.
