The Unwanted: Survival

Post » Sat Apr 02, 2011 2:56 am

The thundorous foot falls drove Teos to his rifle. He grabbed it and a box of rounds, loading five rounds and walking to the door. He took a look at his paitents. Most of them were awake, but a few were still out. Teos cursed and pushed open the door a bit, peering out into the town. Mutants were everywhere, as well as the ants. Bodies littered the ground, as well as debris. An ant skittered torwards Teos, who promptly put a bullet in it's brain. "Guess I still got it" he mumbled to himself. Another footstep caused Teos to turn and feel his jaw drop. A behemoth. He had only seen one in his life, and it had been dead. 'We are so [censored]' he thought. He took a look around and saw Molly's with Marcus at the front. He went back inside the clinic and closed the door behind him, locking it. "Alright, which of you feel fine?" he asked, not telling them what was going on. A couple raised thier hands. "Alright, you're going to help me carry the other injured over to Molly's because we're under attack, and they have a behemoth with them." A man with his arm in a sling asked Teos if it would be safer in the clinic. "Actually, this place is mostly made of wood." He said, walking over to a wall and kicking it, making an audible splintering sound. "Now imagine that, but about 100 times stronger, and this place is a memory." He reloaded the round he had spent and asked "Do any of you have your weapons on you?" A few of them pulled thier sidearms. "You're going to protect us." Teos pushed his rifle into the hands of a junkie "We get there, and you'll get fix. If we don't....well, then I guess it won't matter." Teos tried to wake up all the people he could, but a few had slipped into a coma from ant bites. Teos hefted a woman onto his shoulder. He indicated with his neck. Those without weapons followed suit. "You with guns, get the door and head out, we'll be right behind you. Hey, jet-head, cover our rear." They pushed open the door after Teos unlocked the door, and they headed out.

It was utter chaos out in the streets, people running every which way, attempting to get to safety, only to be mowed down by gunfire or mauled by an ant. Thier little group moved across the street, a bit diagonaly torwards the bar before the behemoth stopped in front of it and swung his tree, leveling a group of people who had taken up arms against it. Teos yelled out among the screaming "Go around back! Around back!" he yelled, as they turned to go down an alleyway. The woman on his shoulder wasn't heavy, but his shoulder was numb from her bouncing against him. Men and women fired thier weapons at ant and mutant alike, before getting shot and dropping. They lost about three before they made it to the alley. They kept moving until an ant blocked thier way. The group fired on it, and thier weapons emptied, realizing they didn't have any ammo on them. Teos looked back at the junkie who hadn't fired a shot. "Get up there!" he yelled at him. He was frozen in fear. "No jet for you!" he yelled and set the woman down, taking his rifle and firing a round through the ant's eye. He went back and grabbed the woman, giving the junkie his rifle once again. He kicked open the door and let all the others in before he slammed it shut...

EDIT: Overuse of the word alright

Eve was one of the first to see the oncomming of the Super Mutants, being on the roof they had been firing pot shots at her from as soon as they had seen her.
The streets she knew would be full of Mutants and Ants by the time she made it down off the roof and thus she decided to try her luck jumpng from roof to roof.

It was only four houses down but they where on the edge of town and the houses had been severely damaged and repaired endless times.
Good for her though she had been the one repairing them, she dived from Molly's roof over to Ken and Gordons house as she did tiles slid under her feet but she fell into a stable crouch and began to crawl up the roof on all fours.

Oh Jesus, more work!
Ahhh sorry Lord for using thy name in vain.

Hey what am I complaining for its good business!
Good job I repair them well...

Just as she thought this a whole row of tiles slid under her left foot,
One of the thousands of poorly aimed shots from the far away supermutants had hit a tile below her causing the whole row to slide.
She glided all the way down to the other side jumping as she made it to the edge of the roof.
As the whole row of tiles fell to the ground shattering and smashing like glass she landed spread eagle on the next house.

"What was that? Super Mutants on the roof! Fred!! Get the gun!!!" A scared voice shouted from inside.
"Doncha worrey Ethel its jus me luv!" She shouted back in her strong Irish accent, "But yar deffinately shut get yar gun out!"

She picked her self up again the next house was her own,
Being a roofer her own roof was rather prettier than others, she had a roof window over her bed for star gasing at night.
With another quick jump made it to her own sturdy and strong roof.

She crept along the roof being extra careful not to damage her own tiling and slid through the window.
Inside she finally began to panic; she had not had time to panic before as she was too busy doing roof-abatics now she was beguining to tremble with fear.
Althoguh she had not had theat good of a look at the advancing horde she knew alot of them had guns by the sher amount of poorly aimed shots bouncing of of the tiels around her.
The huge Behemoth was also playing on her mind.
She grabbed the gun from her cuboard and as much ammo as she could carry.

Mollies and some repair shop, she did not know where as she had alwasys gone to Mollies because of how close it was, where the meeting points in a crisis.
She knew the streets would be flooded by now and thus slid back up through her sky light and onto the roof.

The Behemoth was now so close, it stood outside of Mollies clubbing to death the poor people trying to make it into the safehouse.
She was Ethel's husband Fred get killed by the huge beast and looked on in terror as a man with a dog tryign to get round the Behemoth as it raised its huge club.

Oh lord guide my sling, for I am the Boy David and he is the Philistine Goliath
He comes against me spear and javelin, but I come against him with a sling in the name of the LORD Almighty
I'll strike him down and cut off your head. Today I will give the carcasses of the Philistine army to the birds of the air and the beasts of the earth.

Raising her shotgun to her shoulder and dropping her head to its barrel she fired a shot, from the hight of the roof she had a clear shot at its face and she used it.
Blood gushed from the beasts face as bits of flesh and muscle fell from its face, its left eye was completely removed and it stopped giving the man and his dog time to get away.

OOC: Yes I just claimed the shot that saved Pats life.

The Giant stumbled back, falling to his back foot and dropping his huge club loose it tore through the front wall of Mollies shop and part of the roof caved in.

OOC: Think it would be an idea to establish a map for the town at some point as I have no idea how the town is set up but I am assuming that it has one viable entrance for large groups while the rest can be used by maybe one or two people/creatures at a time.

Tamar grunted with exertion as she propped her door back up onto the door frame of her house the hinges having broken some time ago. near the back edge of spring her house was slightly isolated she having picked it because of that. looking at what was likely one of the nicer doors remaining in spring brought back memories of how she had acquired it but then interrupted that particular train of thought before she was distracted.
"None of that today Tamar your stupid self has got a pipe to fix" she grumbled walking into her house and picking up her last jar of thermite paste then stuffing it into a side pouch of her pack she began to search the piles of aluminum cans in the corner of her house for a useful piece of scrap to repair the pipe she had just recently damaged. A dull thump resonated through the remaining wood of her house and echoed off the corrugated iron repairs.
"Damn I still need to stick that thing to the doorframe somehow" she dropped a piece of scrap she had been examining and started outside to pick the door back up only to hear the sound of guns and panic. Immediately recognizing that the town was either under attack or would be very soon she rushed back into her house unleashing a furry of curses at her unprepared state. the sound of dull thumping in the distance informed her that the towns traps had taken effect and at the very least were slowing a few of the invaders down.

Taking her more stable creations and stuffing them into her near empty bag "hopefully these can help over there" she mumbled to herself moving quickly to the entrance of her house only to see several ants coming down the street followed by a quartet of super mutants "hoo?. This is bad? very bad" she hurriedly picked up her door and wedged it closed wood squeaking as she damaged the door frame in her fright, enough of her logic remained to prepare for the coming party likely set on killing and/or eating her.

Setting up a string trap behind the door she began thinking of places in her house to hide "maybe I can still fit in cupboard under the sink" she hoped as fear chilled her blood when the noises outside got louder. Rushing through her house she began setting the remaining traps in her bag focusing on the kitchen and living room entrances. then to the entrance of her hiding place ,which was filled with very little at the time, and wedged herself into the half rotten space half crouched clutching her kitchen knife in one hand while she used the other one to shut the doors tight " I really hope nothing tries to eat me today" Tamar knew however that her plea was not likely to be answered as the sound of the string trap going off came through the rising din outside.

"Ah...thats good reading, three chapters in two hours" Shale said as he was putting his book back in the safe.
Suddenly he heard the sound of guns and a large roar "Ah. [censored]."
He ran to his counter and grabbed his Chinese assualt rifle, loaded and cocked the gun for semi-automatic fire. "Time for a fight." He listened for awhile to determine the guns the Supermutants were using. Sounds liek G3s...hmm seems like business will do well for me after this fight if we survive..

With that thought in his head a ant made a hole in his wall and charged him, Shale looked at the bug and sprang to action, holding his rifle in his left hand he took out his 10mm with his right hand and charged at the bug, kicking it in the head. The ant, toppled on to it's back, struggled to turn itself upright, that was all the time Shale needed.

Shale put his boot on the ants abdomen and started to shoot round into round into the ant until it twitched no longer. "Time to get to the store!" he shouted as he opened the door to see a behemoth about to club down a man and his dog, "[censored]! look out!" he warned, but as the words left his mouth something hit the behemoth in the left eye and gauged it out. "heh.forget it." he crouched down and started to shoot at the supermutants with Chinese assualt rifle, he spotted two rushing at him but saw as one fell, a shot to the back of it's head who the hell is on a rooftop...whoever it is they are getting a free repair after this... Shale started to shoot at remaining mutant rushing him, he aimed for for it's knee caps and began firing "C'mon! I would love to see you try!" The supermutant let out a howl and a curse as his leg was shot under him and fell in a heap, "STUPID HUMAN. CRUSH!!!!" it said as it dragged himself towards Shale
"See you in hell mutie." Shale said coldy as he shot the mutie in the head. Now. time to get safehouse. Shale sprinted towards the safe house between the bewildered and angered behemoth as he was still dazed about losing his eyedammit. im so glad they are stupid. He thought as he ran inside the house and into the basment

OOC: I told you, the Gunshop is in the Center of town, and Molly's General Store is at the front of the settlement. It doesn't really matter what direction it is. The enemy is at every turn for your character.

IC

As the huge Behemoth recovered from the shot, it cleared its face. The shotgun round had mearly made a mess across most of the beast's face. Its eye was nothing really, but just pieces hanging onto the stem. It quickly recovered, and charged towards more of the town. It continued to move deeper into the city, when Giant Scorpion's began to enter the town. The town was becoming nothing but scrap.

Marcus, along with everyone down in the basemant sat and waited for the end. It seemed like nothing could be done, the Behemoth had demolished everything, and the Ants, Mutants, and Scorpions were picking off anyone in the streets. Scream's could be heard everywhere as Marcus looked around. Molly looked at Marcus, and then at the sealing.

"What time is it?"

Marcus looked around at anyone with somekind of watch or had caught the time.

"Yeah its about 4:30pm!"

"Great!"

Marcus looked around, and realized they were going to have to leave the General Store. They would have to move through the night, it would be safer.

"Ok everyone. When the night come's we're going out. All of us!"

"What!"

Marcus looked at old lady Martin, as he continued.

"If we don't leave, the Ants will find us, and none of us will survive. We have to leave!"

The crowd looked around at each other as they thought about what to do. The sound of the Behemoth walking settled, they realized it was leaving. Above the Behemoth had done its job, and was leaving while the rest stayed to search for survivors. Everyone looked around, and then to Marcus.

"Ok we all leave."

"We'll have to leave the injured, and sick. The rest of us will have to fight our way out!"

Marcus sat waiting as the hours passed.

Shale sighed and muttered to himself "I knew I should left this hell hole." All Shale could think of was getting back to what remained of his shop and retrieving his books and comic/magazines.
He checked if all his guns were loaded and up to spec and waited for Marcus to give the order "I'll follow you, as long as we go to my shop.....or whatever is left of it first, I have tons of supplies and things we could use there..." He shouted towards Marcus from the other side of the room "I think we should look for survivors as well, I doubt the behemoth destroyed every building....there could be survivors who just need help getting out of the rubble..." he suggested
Then Shale leaned back against the wall and crossed his arms in wait

Pat listened to the chaos outside and then to Marcus and Shale.
"I agree fully, except I have to get some more ammo for my shotgun and some food for me and Moxie in my store as well. On our way out I say some of us oughta stop by some of the shops like mine and retrieve supplies first."
He then looked for a response from Marcus, the presumed leader of the group.

Teos felt anger welling up inside him. What right did Marcus have to say what happened to the wounded. They were his paitents for god's sake. "No, we're not leaving anyone behind." he said almost yelling " If we're moving at night, we can move the wounded and the sick, as well as ourselves. If no one will help me, i'll do it myself." With that, he stood up and started checking on everyone. Everyone who made it had minimal injuries, aside from his paitents of course. There was only one person left in a coma, but the rest of them would be in no condition for the kind of thing they would be doing. The person left in the coma was the young woman he had carried to Molly's. She had been biten by an ant, then attempted to tough it out. It had become infected, and she collapsed in the streets. Teos found her and brought her into the clinic, cleaning the wound as best he could. He checked the leg wound, which was a large gash in her calf. She was lucky, she had been packing and managed to shoot the thing before it ripped her leg off. The alchohal he had poured on it was working, and the antibiotics he had given her were working. Now he had to deal with the wound itself. He didn't have any stiches with him, so he applied some more alchohal before heavily bandaging the leg. When they got moving, he would have to bring her out of it, or carry her, but neither she, nor the other wounded were staying. Teos would make sure of that.

OOC: My post goes back to the tiem of my second and continues cronologically.

As the Behemoth stumbled back holdign his face Eves mind turned to Ethel.
She must be somewhere and Fred her husband was dead and now unable to protect her.

"Ethel!!!" Eve screamed wildly dropping her shotgun out of her shoulder, the old lady had been like a mother to Eve when she was growing up in the town.
Suddenly terror filled Eve the mutants were no longer firing at her from a great distance, tow with hunting rifles now stood less than tirty feet away in the strrets.
As one took aim and pulled the trigger she dived across the gap between the rooves, landing and sliding down the tiles her hands and feet desperately clawing at the roof for something to grip.

Suddenly a lifeline as her left hand caught the chimney stack and her foot caught a large replacement tile, it was thicker than the others prividing a ridge to push off.
Rolling onto her side a bullet spun past her head hitting the chimney stack.
In responce she raised her shotgun and fired an unaimed shot in his direction fleshing its leg.

As she did screames echoed from the inside of the house amd the chitternf of ants followed by the sounds of Ethel being butchered and devoured by giant ants.
Suddenly realisty washed back over Eve.

She was an open target lying down with a empty shotgun; She was covered in grazes and cuts from her suicidal dives between rooves,
her mother and father figures had been butchered by mutants and giant ants and the safehouse was near impossible to reach.

"Holy father, grant my beloved admission to heaven.
Protect those who have not yet been taken by the Beasts.

Grant me strength father, I am too weak to go on and am beguining to lose faith."

The sun was beguining to set by the time she broke from her day dream,
someone or something had killed the supermutants shooting at her on the roof and it seemed no others had spotted her.
The ants could still be heard chittering below in Ethels house but the Behemoth had gone.

OOC: Ok this post is just to add more to the Plot, none of the characters know what or who this is.

IC

Some factory building in the Wasteland

The tall dark bulky figure approached as the scientist continued his work. The scientist hadn't noticed the figure until it was in the doorway. It was greenish, with a yellow tint.

"Have you finished the job?"

"Not yet sir." The figure said with a raspy deep voice.

"Why not, I thought it would only take a few hours?"

"Sorry sir, it has taken longer than we thought. Some of the people in Spring have been resistant."

The scientist looked at the shadowed figure with a sturn look. He was not pleased by the news.

"Well finish it soon, I don't want it to take to much longer. The Boss will not be happy!"

"Yes sir!"

The large figure walked out, and disappeared into the other room. The scientist finished his work he was doing, and walked out. The other room was filled with Super Mutants. They all seemed to be well manored, they stood around the room talking, and looking at things. They were heavily armored, and carried large blunt objects for a weapon. The scientist stood at a podium, and grunted. All the Super Mutants looked up, and stood in their lines.

"From what 12 has told me, the mission in Spring has not finished. He did not give me any details so you are going to have to find out what is going on. Anyone you see alive, capture them. I don't care how you do it, but do it!"

The Super Mutants nodded, and walked out a nearby door that lead down a hallway to an exit. The scientist returned to his lab, and began working on his previous work. The Super Mutants began their unorginized march to the small settlement of Spring.

Back in Spring

Marcus looked Teos with anger, "If you want to get them killed. And yourself, you can stay here while the rest of us make a break for it. They will slow us down, and I'm not going to be Mutant or Bug food!"

Marcus looked around at the group, and stood in Teos' face, "So what will it be, stay here with the sick and wounded or make a break for one of the other settlements in the area with the rest of us?" Marcus was clearly not happy. He wanted out, and he was willing to leave anyone behind that would slow him down.

Above them, Super Mutants looked all around for any survivors. They grunted, and howled at each other, and even some sounds of screams, and gunfire could be heard as Super Mutants or Ants found other hiding survivors. The night had come, and small fires burned all over the settlment. Houses had been set ablaze, and stores as well. It was truly another Dooms day for the people of Spring.

Back at the Factory

The scientist finished his work he was working on, and approached a old Video screen. It had some dirt around it, and had obviously been salvaged from the Wasteland. A blackened out figure appeared on the screen, and began speaking with a deep voice.

"What news have you brought me tonight Dr. Webster? Has the settlment of Spring been erased off this earth."

"No sir, I'am sorry to say that there is still some resistance in the town. 12 came to me, and I dispatched Group 5 to Spring to finish the job!"

"Very good Dr. Webster, but never bring me bad news again. Do you understand?"

"Yes I do sir."

The image dissapeared, and the screen black as Dr. Webster walked to his quarters. All through the hallway's Super Mutants, Ants, and Scorpions moved through the hallways. The Ants, and Scorpions had a divise on their head, that taimed them rather well. Dr. Webster entered his room, and went to sleep, still wondering about Spring.

Shale waited and and listened to the fighting above them Survivors are still up there? Jesus..... He listened to all the howls and screams but didn't care, all he wanted were his books

"When are we leaving the damn hole?...I got [censored] to do up there....and possible we still might find one or two lucky survivors.....we can't stay down here forever you know, Marcus..." Shale stated.

Shale just sighed and waited, he hoped that the safe wasn't taken or destroyed....

Knowing she would very likely die if she continued to hide under the sink as more of her traps activated she acted "Hope this works" came out as a half muttered prayer taking out her thermite paste.
Tamar smeared a half circle onto a large piece of corrugated iron making her kitchens wall.
Lighting the paste Tamar looked away as flashes of light came from the wall alerting the remaining creature in the house and activating the last line of defense in her house twin explosions bloomed from her kitchen entrance and the iron fell to the floor Tamar jumped through the hole landing quickly and took in the state of the town.
"Well at least I won't have to fix that pipe" Tamar muttered to herself the attempt at humor failing to lighten the situation at all.
Pulling her whiskey bottle out of her bag sticking and strip of cotton into the mouth she prepared the Molotov in case its use was necessary then sticking it to her left leg with duct tape crept to the nearest side passage. Running through the smaller side passages of Spring would be a suicidal venture so she slunk using her low height and darker skin tone to her advantage in the shadows of the buildings, death having been escaped narrowly twice when super mutants were mere inches from finding her that then ran off in another direction as citizens still outside tried to do the same as her and failed.
Seeing Eve on the roof and the trio of super mutants reloading their G3 rifles Tamar tossed her last grenade at them the oblong object bouncing once and rolling to rest at the center mutants feet before it exploded taking the all down in a concussive wave of shrapnel and fire. Knowing that her actions would attract attention Tamar bolted for the Gun shop knowing that she could mount a defense there.
The setting sun and massive Radscorpion blocking her path did not help this at all.
"this is what I get for being nice"
she stared death full in the face, then fleeing full tilt across the street the scorpion only steps away before crashing into another side path, this one clogged with refuse and old rotten crates, an idea forming she turned quickly and pulled the lighter out of her pants pocket ripping the whiskey bottle from her leg she lit it and threw in the direction of the advancing scorpion. The boxes in the passage caught fire as liquid flame passed over the scorpion's back blinding it with pain and cooking its flesh the insect made gurgling noises as it tried to escape. Tamar knew that the Molotov might not kill this scorpion but it was blinded for at least a moment. Running back across the street to the town gun shop she used a box on the side of it to jump in one of the windows. Tamar gasped a sigh of relief and huddled into a corner of the shop to regain her strength and think of what to do next.

Marcus cracked the door open to see what was happening. The city was in ruins, and the recent sounds of exsplosions made Marcus a little uneasy about leaving, but he had no choice. He opened the door, and allowed everyone to walk out, those who stayed would never bee seen again. Super Mutants could be heard clammering around, while the sound of Ants, and Scorpions echoed through the cold air. It was a bit chilly, but nothing they couldn't handle. Marcus looked around, and made sure that the place was safe. He held his Ruger close, and didn't want anything to happen. Suddenly Marcus spotted a woman he had known sort of well, Tamar. She was huddled in a corner, and was probably the person that had set off the exsplosions.

"Tamar?" Marcus asked in a light whisper. He didn't want to alert any of the Super Mutants around or bugs.

"Tamar? Is that you. We thought that everyone maybe dead. How long have you been sitting here?"

Marcus sat next to her, signalling for the others to watch for any hostile enemies.

Outside of Spring

The group of well versed Super Mutants approached a small ridge that overlooked Spring. Everything had been destroyed, several houses were on fire, buildings and houses alike had been seriously damaged, and it seemed like everything was finished. The group of Super Mutants continued forward to make sure.

"12, aren't we just supposed to see what happened to Spring?"

"Yes 23, but we have to enter Spring to make sure don't we!"

"Yes, I'am sorry for my idiotic remark."

The group of about 14 Super Mutants continued on, and walked by the East entrance of the settlment. Super Mutants from all around watched as the group entered. They watched, and hid in fear it seemed as the group walked by. These were no ordinary Super Mutants, and the others knew that. Even the Scorpions, and Ants hid in fear. More trouble was coming to Spring, and it wasn't going to be good.

Teos stood strong, not backing down. "Fine. We're coming with you. I'll worry about the wounded, and you can save your own neck. These people are my paitents, and my responsibility. If you don't give a damn, that's fine by me." Teos walked away, bumping Marcus's shoulder with his own. 'Guess someone's true nature comes out at times like these.' He thought before adding "Dupek..." out loud, not that it would matter. No one would understand him anyway. He walked off to where his paitents had huddled to vent some steam. Teos often gets worked up, and has learned to leave before he did something he'd regret. Even though he was ready to murder him at the moment, he did not blame Marcus. He was just another man in a similar situation, and was handling it differently. Teos respected that, but didn't have to like it. He sat himself down and angrily wiped his rifle down, checking the clip and making sure the bolt was functioning correctly. "Doctor?" someone asked, causing Teos to look up. "She's awake." said the man, refering to the woman in the coma. Teos stood and walked over to the woman who was starting to stir. Teos crouched, and her eyes opened, seeing him. She lashed out with her hand and caught Teos in the jaw. He took it in stride and laughed it off "Good to see your awake!" She looked around with a sort of defiance, as if she didn;t care she had svcker punched him "Where am I?" Teos rubbed his mouth and responded "Your in Molly's. They attacked again. This time they brought a behemoth." She nodded before laying her head back "So tired.." she muttered. Teos grabbed a bottle of Buffout from his belt took one out. "Here, try this." he said and handed her the pill "It should get your strength up, at least for a while." She took the pill and Teos sat back down. He took a look at the remaining people from the clinic and sighed. It would be hard to get them out, but Teos would find a way. He had to.

Eve lay battered and brused on the roof for so long that night.
She almost believed she had died and was in purgatory.
She could see images of Heaven in her mind and all around her the Hell she lived in.
But neither seemed real to her, she was somehow safe even thoguh those around her were being horribly killed yet she knew she was far from safty...

This strange maddness kept her sane, her dillusions of safety and prayers for escape allowed her to not give her hiding place away by screams or heavy breathing.
Throughout it all reciting words of the lord in her head.

In the Name of Jesus Christ,
our God and Lord,
strengthened by the intercession of the Immaculate Virgin
Mary,
Mother of God,
of Blessed Michael the Archangel,
of the Blessed Apostles Peter and Paul and all the Saints.
and powerful in the holy authority of our ministry,
we confidently undertake to repulse the attacks and
deceits of the devil.
God arises;
His enemies are scattered
and those who hate Him flee before Him.
As smoke is driven away,
so are they driven;
as wax melts before the fire,
so the wicked perish at the presence of God.

Behold the Cross of the Lord, flee bands of enemies.
The Lion of the tribe of Juda, the offspring of David,
hath conquered.

May Thy mercy, Lord, descend upon us.
As great as our hope in Thee.

We drive you from us,
whoever you may be,
unclean spirits,
all satanic powers,
all infernal invaders,
all wicked legions,
assemblies and sects.

In the Name and by the power of Our Lord Jesus Christ may you be snatched away and driven from the Church of God and from the souls made to the image and likeness of God and redeemed by the Precious Blood of the Divine Lamb.
Most cunning serpent, you shall no more dare to deceive the human race, persecute the Church, torment God's elect and sift them as wheat.
The Most High God commands you, + He with whom, in your great insolence, you still claim to be equal.

The sacred Sign of the Cross commands you, as does also the power of the mysteries of the Christian Faith.
The faith of the holy Apostles Peter and Paul, and of the other Apostles commands you.
The blood of the Martyrs and the pious intercession of all the Saints command you.

Thus, cursed dragon, and you, diabolical legions, we adjure you by the living God, by the true God, by the holy God, by the God who so loved the world that He gave up His only Son, that every soul believing in Him might not perish but have life everlasting; stop deceiving human creatures and pouring out to them the poison of eternal damnation; stop harming the Church and hindering her liberty.

Begone, Satan, inventor and master of all deceit, enemy of man's salvation.

Stoop beneath the all-powerful Hand of God; tremble and flee when we invoke the Holy and terrible Name of Jesus, this Name which causes hell to tremble, this Name to which the Virtues, Powers and Dominations of heaven are humbly submissive, this Name which the Cherubim and Seraphim praise unceasingly repeating: Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord, the God of Hosts.

O Lord, hear my prayer.
And let my cry come unto Thee.

May the Lord be with thee.
And with thy spirit.

God of heaven,
God of earth,
God of Angels,
God of Archangels,
God of Patriarchs,
God of Prophets,
God of Apostles,
God of Martyrs,
God of Confessors,
God of Virgins,
God who has power to give life after death and rest after
work: because there is no other God than Thee and there can be
no other, for Thou art the Creator of all things,
visible and invisible, of Whose reign there shall be no end,
we humbly prostrate ourselves before Thy glorious Majesty
and we beseech Thee to deliver us by Thy power
from all the tyranny of the infernal spirits,
from their snares, their lies and their furious wickedness.

Deign, O Lord,
to grant us Thy powerful protection
and to keep us safe and sound.
We beseech Thee through Jesus Christ Our Lord.

Amen.

From the snares of the devil,
Deliver us, O Lord.
That Thy Church may serve Thee in peace and liberty:
We beseech Thee to hear us.
That Thou may crush down all enemies of Thy Church:
We beseech Thee to hear us.

Round and round she recited the passages of her little red Bible, hours disapeared and minuits felt like seconds.
It may not of been the reason for her saftey but it made her feel safe.

Suddenly a large ball of fire exploded from the ground near by and a scared women ran jumping through the window of a house,
the bright light from the flame danced around her lighting her up to the mutants around.

Great...

Suddenly realising she had been spotted she took her feet off the edge she was standing on, the roof was very steep and she slided quickly towards the edge, she braced her knees as she did and landed relatively softly.
The sound of bullets ricochetting off the breaking tiles where she had just been lying sent chills down her spine.

Fumbling around she found two more shotgun shells in a pocket and broke the shotgun, placing a shell in the upper and lower barrel she closed the shotgun back up and leant against the wall waiting to see if the supermutants would follow her.

Shale followed Marcus out of the building and shook his head "I'm heading towards my house Marcus, it looks like it's still standing, I'll be back" he turned his head to see Tamar in the corner "Um....hey." Shale said as he gave a half-hearted wave

As Shale walked to the the shop he noticed the door had a broken hinge and he can hear noises from the inside, Shale cocked his Chinese Assualt and tensed himself Those better not be my books.... Shale thought as he kicked down the door with force and raised his rifle to his shoulder, in front of him was a supermutant trying to open his safe "GET THE HELL AWAY FROM MY BOOKS!" The supermutant turned around suprised that a human was alive and was frozen with confusion for awhile "Silly hu-" Shale unloaded his rifle into the mutant's face before he could finish his simple sentence.

Shale searched the shop for stuff "Dammit they took some stuff..." He said as he was opening his safe, Hmm atleast I got my emergency stash Shale stuffed his books and magazines into one of his two backpacks, I better be getting back to marcus now, I have eveything I need, books, ammo, food, tools, 2 G3s from the mutants, yup I am ready for this...

Dimitri was following towards the rear of the group. He kept an eye on his surroundings and the ill or injured people. As Marcus took cover Dimitri carried a young boy that had an ant bite. He handed the boy to a large women and he took cover behind a dumpster while covering an alleyway. He waited for the orders from Marcus to which direction to go.

Teos pushed open the door and surveyed the town. He scowled as he noticed the clinic was on fire. 'Guess it doesn't matter any more.' He indicated to his paitents to move up. They moved quickly wielding makeshift weapons such as lead pipes and pool cues. They moved out into the streets. 'How the hell am I gonna move these people....' he looked around, looking for some materials 'Maybe I could make a wagon or a cart...' he thought until he heard a low moan. His rifle shot up, aiming in the direction of the sound. A brahmin looked back at him, before mooing again. Upon closer inspection, Teos noticed the dead scavenger and caravan guard. 'They must have been killed in the attack.' he thought. He patted the mutant cow on it's noses before stripping the various bags off his back. Teos jogged back to the group. He quickly checked thier injuries and took the three who would have the most trouble walking and brought them over to the brahmin. "You have the worst wounds" he said. The three were half the group of six, including Teos, and consisted of an old woman, a little boy, and the young woman who had come out of the coma. "So your'e riding." He helped them up and took the brahmin's reins, handing them to the man in the group. The junkie moved around nervously, holding a lead pipe close to him. He was going to be bad news. Teos had noticed him eyeing his medicine bag. "Stay here. I have to go find Marcus." he said and started jogging back torwards the entrance to the store. Teos saw him, crouching in the corner. He listened to the pvssyring in the cold air, as well as the occasional gutteral yell from a super mutant, deeming it safe enough to get across. He stayed low and roadie ran to them, bending down alongside Marcus. "I found a brahmin to move the wounded. What's going on over here?" he inquired quietly.

Tamar shivered, the fear of what would happen next locking her in place as every growl or footstep outside caused her jaw to tighten. Taking stock of what she had left the future looked grim indeed a half jar of thermite, duct tape and a kitchen knife were not all that helpful survival in this sort of situation.
Overwhelming fright at her current situation and what she would do next suffice to say broke her, for the first time in Tamar's life she drifted off into her happy place.
Eyes riveted to the wall as her short breaths slowed and calmed until to all outside interference fell off her mental awareness.
Suffice to say insanity is rarely bliss but for a short time in her life Tamar knew what happiness was.
Conversing with a rabbit in her mind scape about the how beautiful the day was she looked up at a sky full of birds and fluffy pink clouds
"No mister bunny I did not know the cloud were made of cotton candy and here I thought it was radiation?"
The large anthropomorphic hallucination made motions to reply "Amar?"
Tamar looked at the rabbit confused by its change in style and tone of speech.
"Amar izat ou?" the rabbit spoke its expression clearly stating it was not intending to say what it was speaking.

All around the fabricated world of mirrors began to fall as Tamar came careening back to reality

"No.. Don't go mister bunny?I want to have more tea?"

Movement to her side alerted Tamar to a presence near her. Knowing that most of if not all the citizens would have fled for the hills or holed up in Molly's bunker of a basemant by now that she was about to die.
Turning swiftly to face the threat and at least see her killer before it dragged her off to parts unknown or tore her arms off. Her vision blurred as she napped her head to the side and was met with the gruesome visage of-
"Marcus?" Tamar was very confused. By the looks of Marcus and the surrounding citizens of spring they were very confused as well? wait citizens of spring, was that Doctor Teos?
"Err.. why are you here, I thought shelter was at Molly's?" reconsidering her question with current company around her she queried "Is Molly's even standing anymore?"

Name: Kendal Richardson (goes by Kenny).

Race: Caucasian.

Age: 28.

Appearance: 6'1", dark brown hair, green eyes, weathered skin, athletic, (but only slightly)

Gender: Male.

Clothes: A heavily weathered; rob-co jumpsuit, with a leather vest, A scratched pair of aviators, and a storm chaser hat.

Weapons: A 30-30 lever action rifle, and a combat knife.

Misc: x31 rounds 30-30, a spool of fishing line, 1 canteen of water, 1 empty canteen, x13 rounds 10mm, x16 rounds .32, some spare parts for the rifle(springs, pins screws etc) 34 caps, a rucksack, some firearms manuals and a field guide on booby traps.

Bio: Kendal is a scavenger, and mechanic, his great, great grandfather was a gifted mechanical engineer before the war, he passed on this knowledge to his son who passed it on to his, who passed it on to his father who taught him, this teaching, along with a few manuals, has given Kendal a level of engineering not often matched by waste Landers, (although his knowledge only scratches the surface compared to a pre-war engineer.) Kendal's drifting has brought him to the Town of Spring where he rents a room in a large home, and gets paid in food and small items of interest, for his services fixing firearms and machinery, although he had no plans on lingering in the town, he has spent a lot of time scavenging the area.

Kenny awakes to the smell of burning wood and the taste of iron in his mouth, the ringing in his ears is the next sense to return to him reminding him he is very much alive, the night sky above is the first thing his eyes lay hold of. He pulls himself up looking around at the remnants of his room. Still a bit dazed he stumbles over to his desk, grabbing his rifle, he begins to hear the sounds of gunfire and occasional screams from panicked citizens, along with the grunts of super mutants. He pushes the lever of his rifle out then in loading a round into the chamber, he then packs up his rucksack with his canteens and manuals, he digs around under one of his floor boards until he finds a package of rifle parts and bent ammunition, next to this bag is a stimpacks and his most prized find, a rifle scope carefully wrapped in fabric. Kenny places the remainder of his possessions into the bag, and approaches the hole in the roof, careful not to alert the mutants he drops of the back of the roof. At that moment he spots a group of settlers and a Brahmin moving away from the town, he moves slowly behind buildings in order to cut off the group of survivors, he approaches them from behind a building. Kenny hails the doctor as he approaches the group. "Hey Doc, you got room for one more?"

Eve finally lowing her gun and began tryign to recover.
She was panting like a dog leaning against the wall of the house just to keep herself on her feet.
Sweat covered her entire body and formed pools under her arms, between her briasts, on her back and her forehead.
Her heart thudded in her cheast like a cat in a bag it was trying to escape her chest.

Father protect me

She lowered the straps on her dungerees off of her shoulders letting air flow more easily through he clothes.
The night was cold but the heat from burning buildings could be felt all around the town.
As she stood still her heart rate slowed down and she began to feel the nights chill.

Her ears pricked up when she heard a voice calling from the other side of the house.
And she unconciously dived to the floor at once realising she did not need to,
but her natural responce to anyone attracting too much attention was getting into cover as bullets often followed.

She slowly stood back up and crept towards the source of his shouts,
he had been shouting to Toas, she had never met him but she knew he was the town Doctor.

When she reached the end she saw the entire group, they where mobolising atleast twelve people.
Not a mutant in sight they were wandering around in clear view.

Standing for a while she was shocked at their carelessness.
Giving into her own survival instincts she was just about to run to join them when a great roar tore through the nights relative silence.

A supermutant waded down the alleyway between the house she was stood nexto and the nabouring house on its other side.
He carried a huge M2 Browning 50. Cal machinegun and was firing wildly at the scattered group of people.
His weapon was so powerful it penetrated house walls and caused huge spliters to fly from the walls of houses it hit.

(OOC: Nakumora, he's not with them. He's over with Marcus and Tamar in the gunshop)

Teos layed his rifle down and inspected Tamar's wounds. He answered her "Molly's is fine. For now. We're leaving." He found that her wounds were rather minor, however judging by her talking about a rabbit, there might be some phychological damage. He started to help her up before bullets tore through the shop, instead Teos brought her down along with himself. Bullets flew over thier heads, and the loud roar of the browning could be heard. He crawled over to his rifle and grabbed it with one hand, continuing to crawl behind the gunshop counter before pulling Tamar with him. "Stay low." he said and crawled over to the window. He brought his eyes up to the window enough to see the super mutant open up once again, forcing him back to the floor. He had no chance to get a shot off, let alone an accurate one before the mutie spotted him and turned him into a mist of his own blood. He crawled back over to Tamar again and pulled some buffout out of it's small holder in his belt. "Take this, it'll help you get your strength up." He said and handed her a pill. He angled himself uncomfortably so he could keep an eye on Tamar and not get shot at the same time. 'This isn't how I had hoped the day would go.' he thought to himself with a sigh.

Tamar numbly chewed the pill Teos had given her " thank you" she whispered, the mutant outside continued to fire madly weapon brass cartridges jingling on the ground next to it.
these people had been kind enough to watch out for her while she had spaced she felt guilty at the current situation miserable at her inability to act.
What tamar wouldn't give for a gre-
Tamar watched open mouthed as the giant scorpion that she had blinded earlier bowled the super mutant over stopping the stream of fire and leaving it open for a counter attack, the machine gun it had wielded skittered across the hard packed dirt of Spring's main road.
"errr... shouldn't this be the part where we fire back?" Tamar asked
