Why couldn't you just post? It would be so much easier to critique.

Because it's not really a story, it's background done wikipedia style.

Hmmm I dont mean to be harsh but you seem to believe that everying that is induced to high levels of radiation get bigger.
You may be confusing yourself with Radiation poisoning and the FEV strain.

After a Nuclear holocaust the majority of life would die, no way could the small populus of animals support such a large bird of pre as you are suggesting.

Just my thoughts, although I appreciate fiction does not have to make sence however niether does everthing in fiction just have to get bigger and stronger.

Thanks for the criticism and I understand your point, but it's clear in the Fallout universe that things do get bigger from exposure to radiation, not just FEV. Brahmin are bigger than their pre-War counterparts (not necessarily in height, but definitely in mass). Molerats are bigger than their pre-War counterparts. Ants and radroaches have both grown significantly. The Fallout universe is based in Science! which is the 50's idea of what the nuclear future was going to be. They also throw in a healthy dose of 50's B-Movies where everything exposed to radiation got bigger and more aggressive. I just elaborated on that.

Also, I understand that in the event of a real nuclear holocaust, most of the animal life would be destroyed. Fallout takes liberties on that, so I did as well. I threw in a bit of Chernobyl though which has shown that despite a large nuclear disaster, plant and animal life have actually flourished and in some cases are stronger and more robust than they were before Chernobyl's accident.

There's less diversity in species, competition over the years has forced the different predators and herbivores to evolve and mutate in order to survive. Since radiation in the water would kill most of the fish, Eagles would have to adapt to preying primarily on land-based prey, meaning they would need to get bigger. Predators would begin to have fiercer competition, meanwhile their prey would evolve to become stronger to defend against the larger predators. Radiation of course would be the main tool behind the speedy mutation/evolving.

Been doing some more editing and updating. Here's all the relevant entries. I'm probably going to write a fanfic using this as a basis sometime in the future. I'd LOVE to put it in mod form complete with quests and everything once the GECK comes out but I doubt I have the time/patience to do it.

Everything has a *slightly* more serious tone than standard Fallout lore.
