Oh, I was only poking the thread to allow a better chance of new people discovering this mod, no disrespect meant. :)

It's ok, I don't mind a little poking now and than. Just did a complete reinstall of the game with a brand new modlist so I'm just playing a bit now. It's easy to forget how much fun playing the game can be while modding. No news on the Vampires of House Serentin.

I do have something else that could be of interest to all you Vampire Hunters out there: http://www.invision.tesalliance.org/forums/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=134

My vampire ancient grows weary of this waiting, despite the fact he is thousands of years old.

Ohhhh, wow. I just read through the whole read (which thinking back upon it really wasn't all that needed...) but uh. *coughs* Anyways, this looks really awesome. :D I can't WAIT to play it in Oblivion! I actually do like the name Arch-Patriarch (though I think maybe a - is needed?) but what exactly are these familiars? What power do they hold over the vampires? I was curious about that.

Another thing would be that I'm not a big fan of the red... bib around the stealth armor. :( I mean... to me it really does look like a bib, and takes away from the awesomeness of the rest of the armor. So I was wondering if you'd consider making that separate from the armor? Like something else you can add for effect? Because it really... eh for some reason. xD

I love the shrine for the original vampire- very sweet, very spooky. Overall, this is looking like one of the best mods I've seen so far. Honestly, I'm okay without vampire hunters. Mostly I just want something to DO with being a vampire, rather than just looking like your character aged about 50 years. (I mean, you don't even get FANGS in Oblivion! Uncool, man)

Oh, that's one more thing! Would you consider making players able to wear fangs. >w>

This is a neat outfit. It'll fit my dunmer well, as he is an accomplished vampire hunter. Thanks man!

Thanks for taking the time to comment.

Familiars hold no power over the vampires at all. They are merely mortals serving the vampires, but have important jobs: traders, negotiators, advisors etc. The vampires need them for their legal activities (people rather deal with mortals than with a vampire that's looking at them as a sack of blood).

The "bib" has already dissapeared, though it's still on some older pictures. It will probably be an optional piece.

Woot! No fangs in Oblivion? I hope you have been playing the right game, because fangs have been present in Oblivion from day one! ;)

This is a neat outfit. It'll fit my dunmer well, as he is an accomplished vampire hunter. Thanks man!

You're welcome!

"Familiar (non vampires with certain influence within the House of Serentin)"

Ooooookay you said certain influence not power. My bad. XD

And yay, no bib! That makes the armor perfect in my opinion.

Well, there ARE fangs, but you, as the player, don't get any. And if you do, you can't see them. :( Sadness.

The Vampires of House Serentin don't concider themself unholy or evil. When push comes to shove they would probably call themself holy, being the very creations from a Daedric Prince! Though there's no doubt the vampire hunters and other knightly types would probably use such a title for their nemesis!

The player does get fangs. The morph applies to both the player AND npc's. That's how the game works. Actually seeing them is a different matter, you would need a mod like http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=15124 to see them better on your own character.

I have a suggestion.

For the Leader ranks (like Patriarch), i think it would be better if they were difficult to get. I think the quests/methods to get them should have a restriction (either in some level check or difficult, static enemies in the quests) to avoid weak characters gaining more power than they should.

Thats one thing i didnt like about vanilla's faction progession...it was based on quantity of work more than quality.

A possiblity could be that there is a rival aspiring vampire fighting for leadership of the coven, or a powerful vampire hunter attempting to bring you down.

That would be pretty cool for quests, having a vampire hunter (fufilling a similar role as Adamus Phidella to the DB or Captain Lex to the Theives guild) pop up from time to time to ruin your day.

Just to let you know, people aren't posting because there is nothing to post about atm.

Not that we forgot about this ;)

Now get back to work! :flame:

Edit: I phrased that wrong.

There is nothing to post about, so there are no posts.

We haven't forgotten about this mod.

Now, slave, do our bidding.

Thanks for the suggestions, Obbob! I'll keep them in mind. :)

And thanks for the slave driving, Shane! :P

Anyway, this mod is still laying on the shelf as I got distracted by other things once again. One of them is my current http://www.invision.tesalliance.org/forums/index.php?/topic/1848-wipz-starx-katanas/ and another one comes from actually playing the game instead of modding it! ;)

But I surely have not forgotten about this!

Cheers!

Star would need permission for that, though...
And the actual file.

You should probably post the maker and the name of the mod here and on the Unholy Darkness thread (cuz you posted that link there, too).

Hi, StarX.
How is it going?
I asked before will you integrate your heron mark swords in this mod but you didn't answer. Possible?

Another Q: When this is ready will it run along your vanilla vampires I am currently using or will replace them completely (I am happy with it as it exist but of course am greedy and hope the new one will be even better :D)

Last Q: Any foreseeable ETA? Sorry to be a nudge but... impatience, you know how it is... :D

A gun? Not very likely. The new katana's are very likely though.

Thanks for the advice! It's a nice armor, but I prefer to make my own.

Doing fine, thanks! Just back from vacation and busy with my katana mod. Also helping out some fellow modders in the meantime on some things.
I already anwsered your question about the Heron Mark swords http://www.gamesas.com/bgsforums/index.php?s=&showtopic=998426&view=findpost&p=15060618

This will end up as a total replacement. As for an ETA... no idea really. Like I said in the intro: I'm not going to rush anything and work on this whenever I feel like it. I get distracted by other cool stuff a lot. :)

Mmmmm..... Katanassssssss.... nicssssse!

Can I have them now? :D

P.S. It seems I have some problems with the beautiful armor I get from the Firstborn... maybe you should look in this:

From time to time it lacks icons for the armor pircrs and when dropped on floor it lacks proper collision - especially the cuirass.

But still is one of the very best armor sets in modded Oblivion, so collision or no collision, I wear it in battle !

yes it is a shame, I suppose someone could send a pm and ask if this is abandoned. I know star said he often got distracted, so there could still be some hope
