I honestly can't wait to explore cities and settlements. From what we've heard/seen so far, it seems as though each big city will have a unique feel and layout. The cities in Oblivion all had their own designs and style, yes, but it seemed as though they had a sort of formula for creating each city (besides the Imperial City and New Sheoth). And the settlements of Skyrim should be so much more interesting than those of Oblivion. There were only three non-city settlements that had more than three or four buildings (Hackdirt, Bleaker's Way, and Border Watch) and only one of those seemed like anything more than a congregation of houses. Even then, it was populated with misanthropic lunatics, and it became a ghost town once you saved Dar-Ma. They've told us that the smaller settlements will be bigger than they were in Oblivion, more like the ones found in Morrowind. I was so disappointed when I played Oblivion and towns similar to Seyda Neen or Pelagiad or Vos were absent from the game, so now I'm elated to hear news of bigger, livelier non-city settlements.
I am very excited to explore all parts of the wilderness as well. I think it will be more fascinating and exciting to explore the wilderness in Skyrim than Oblivion because there aren't any generated landscapes.
