Ashlander settlements are permanent camp, they just move from camp to camp.

Anyway, Elwyn Brooks White once compared jokes to frogs. Well, this frog is undead, now.

If you remember the Redoran Stronghold Quest then you might consider the response of the architect and others when discussing the nature of that architecture - in the Ancient style or some such?

Well, duh is not an impressive argument when facing a clear line drawing of a style of wall that could compare with Redoran walls when they were actually in good repair - seems they lost the knack of building complete walls ;) Note the black half-spheres buried in the top of the walls - like insect eyes.

Yeah that appears to be a slavers' compound rather than a settlement - but the walls are well made.

They use the giant insect shells as in the Ahemusa Ashlanders' Compound

The Redorans use Crabshell = same approach altered by availability of materials

Similar but different to Redoran suggesting that they have a common source that both are closer to than the Telvanni who always go their own way or the 'corrupted' Hlaalu.

Suggest that the Dres style is suited to their nature as the styles of the other houses are ... that's one of the wonders of Morrowind.

You want Velothi Architecture? Then look in the tombs. Where the Velothi Saints are buried, that's Velothi ... can it be anything else knowing the Dunmer?
