I truly dislike Linda Carter in both Oblivion and Morrowind. If her voice is very prominent in Skyrim, it'll be kind of a letdown. Just find her delivery quite jarring and amateurish, and it really stands out as a poor example of VO. Nothing personal, just going by her contributions to past games.

I agree that they should spend less on big names and more on actual content, but if they were going to choose big name actors, then... Well I'm not really sure. The guy in the trailer should be in-game, whoever he is. The voices just have to be recognizable and epic. And as people have said before: Justin Bieber for Adoring Fan (if there is one in Skyrim), and John Hurt as a dragon!

Personally I was quite happy with Max von Sydow's input on the trailer, and would be happy to see him take a roll in TES V.
Honestly though, I don't mind not seeing any big names at all, as long as the voice acting is good; i'll be happy.
Though with the budget Bethesda seem to have for this game, i'd be suprised if they didn't get a big name to voice it.

I'm quite happy with Max Von Sydow's work in the trailer, more from him would be nice. He really put some heart into it, not like some celebs who just sort of phone it in *glares at Liam Neeson and Sean Bean*

How about not wasting money on someone famous, when you could probably find someone better for much less, so we don't end up with the craptastic bland voice acting in Oblivion, and it's not like they got anyone good, except Patrick Stewart. And he was only there for like 4 minutes.

Anyway... I don't want famous actors to do voice overs AT ALL I want skilled voice actors to do it, you know actual people that study and do voice overs who don't charge 1million bucks for every line.

Either this, or just a lot of completely green VAs / some speech communication students or else. As long as they have the hunger to sound good.

Not a kinda of diva actor who only feels it's a waste of time and just gets the lines done. And, I bet, for celebrities the production team don't even dare to say a line was bad or anything like that.
