The Wanamingo Fanclub

Post » Tue Mar 16, 2010 11:09 pm

Wanamingos are strange mutant animals that live mostly underground.

They are not aliens, but word is they were designed as FEV-tailored weapons for waging war on other countries and they got loose.

They do live a long time, but they are dying out by 2241.

They are also often called aliens, due to being mistaken for extra-terrestrial beings.

They hatch from eggs laid by the queen, which is larger than the other wanamingos and grey in color.

They aren't intelligent in the usual sense, but they do seem to have a hive-mind mentality

The only known queen lived in the Wanamingo Mine in Redding, owned by Ascorti. All aliens living in that mine were Believed to been killed by the Chosen One in 2242.

This would probably go better in the Fallout series Forum since Wannamingos aren't even in Fallout 3.

In Fallout 2 I thought that they were pretty cool though. :coolvaultboy:

Is this on some newer version, because I don't recall seeing them.

And a question about your avatar, I don't recall that scene from Azumana Diaoh, did I just overlook it or is that some fan made avatar?

They take a lot of plasma bolts to the body. Especially the queen. I wonder how much a fat man would do to them?

Wait a minute they were in 1? I know they were in 2 but I don't recall them in the first one. In fact the Vault wiki says they are only in 2.

So then this would go in the mods forum? Cause they aren't in the unmodded game.

Great, now I have to watch the series again.

If Wanamingos were in the next Fallout, how fast do you think they should be?

I planning to watch it again this summer, right after exam! :D

Seeing how that are loosely base on Alien (the one with Ellen Ripley, mind you), and Fallout 2 wise, I assume they are really fast.

I'd love to fight those kind of aliens in a fallout game, but *sigh* trogs an feral ghouls kind of "fill the bill" for them. AC if there as tough as you say I'd want them to have the same speed as a centaur or something like a giant ant.

You mean faster than deathclaws are in Fallout 3? Like Aliens vs Predator (first game) fast? Plus the fact they swarm? And have lots of health? There's only one solution. Take off and nuke the site from orbit, its the only way to be sure. :nuke:

And yes Ausir I know its a mod, I was asking if they are in a newly created patch for MMM or are they only in certain spots?

In Fallout 2, they had 9 Action Points (and 10 is the max). So they're pretty fast.

Not to mention they also have a great deal of Sequence and Agility.

I really hope they don't reproduce in mass numbers then or the Enclave might have to go back to it's original plan which I just mentioned.

Oh, and since I am the Chief Scientist of the Enclave Fanclub can I be an unofficial member of this fan club? I want to teach them how they can be a man by teaching them to fight to restore America. Never mind they were escaped test subjects of the Enclave to begin with, I feel they have potential to be a key to restoring America (thinking in terms of the Company from the Alien movies). Its that or they will all die.
