wow, it's going fast. I'm gone to guitar lessons and bam, new OOc thread. I'll say that the argonians will simply make sure no supplies reach the city if the need to besiege it. we'll just let you die from honger.

That reminds me, aSaP, I am very disappointed that you made an OOC thread for the Army of Ten RP. :stare: :lmao:

Bring it! :toughninja:

It just causes issues and OOC threads generally are made by the GM, it seems like an unwritten rule. It doesn't bother me too much but it did irritate me as I was writing up a new OOC thread but was just editing the OP, when I discovered one had already been made.

Not trying to stir the pot but the out of the 50 million OOC threads for the IBT probably about 3 have been made by Immortal Blood himself. The OP doesnt even need to go in the OOC thread really, just in the RP thread.

I say we just drop it and let it be, it's not a big enough deal to argue or get upset about.

Anyways, post should be coming later today Unadoring Fan. So fear not! Deltis wont have to wait that long :P

Just have to make it through orientation first.

Would have preffered to make this thread myself... considering now I can't edit in new information or characters.

Sorry mate, was trying to do you a favor. I can edit anything you need into the OP, or if you'd rather then open another of your own and I get the mods to close this.

EDIT: Yeah, after reading the rest of your comments I would like to ask the mods to close this thread please. It wasn't my intention to be rude or inconsiderate. As the other thread was already over the post limit, I was trying to lend a helping hand. Don't worry, it won't happen again.

Have fun blockading the full length, including every inlet, of Lake Rumare and the Nibenay, including capturing Leyawiin. Against the natives. Whee logistical nightmares!

Does anyone in this have any form of War-Machines. Onagers, trebuchets, and for the redguards, Cannons?

No, it's fine it doesn't matter. We may as well keep it open now and I honestly would not have minded in the slightest if I hadn't been in the middle of posting my own thread :').

Bretons would have been using various buggers from siege towers to trebuchets to balistas for eras now.

Not entirely sure if the Ogrim or ogres count. Either way, Ghorag isn't going to be attacking the Imperial City.

And Redguards have cannons... maybe on some ships? Sailing around Lake Rumare... blasting in the walls...

Oh yeah, Anticlere, have you checked out my latest post?

Good luck getting a siege tower close enough to use it.

Anchor fore and aft, and pound one spot into dust. It's a vulnerable tactic but it's the only way to bring down walls like that.

Good luck attacking the Imperial City. Cities in general have a reputation for being annoyingly hard to capture - much more so than a castle - without playing the population against the garison or other such betrayal malarkey, and to stand a chance at getting this one, the attackers would first have to capture another city if they intend a blockade - and then the besiegers might well end up starving first anyway - or attack over a narrow single bridge/attempt some sort of mad landing scenario which is likely to end up presenting the Imperial Battlemages with some nice target practice.

We may be better attempting to capture the lands around the city, and watching as the people inside panic.

Right, just wanted to write a quick note on 'Super Powers' (I'll add this to the OP in future.)

As far as I am aware most races has their own Super Power.

Argonian: The Hist, can take control of the Argonians unifying them and making them incredibly stronger.
Nords: Thu'um/The Greybeards, an elite group with the powers of dragon shouts.
Bosmer: The Wild Hunt, the ability to potentially transform the entire race into almost unstoppable monsters which is irreversable.
Altmer: The Psijic Order, an elite group with mastery of magic
Orcs: Malacaths Blessing, the Daedric Prince Malacath protects them and so gives them the ability to summon some daedra
Dunmer: Azuras Blessing the Daedra Prince(ess?) Azura protects them and so gives them the ability to summon some daedra
Khajiit: Moon Sugar/Skooma, can be added to the water of areas affecting inhabitants and enemy soldiers.

Those that don't make it up with the fact their soldiers are going to be superior to others, eg. Bretons have magic resistance, The Redguards are extremely martial and so even the towns that aren't guarded can put up a hell of a fight and the Imperials have the Imperial Battlemages and own the Imperial City. (Which can be re-named once taken)

I just wanted to point out that these powers shouldn't be abused, The Wild Hunt for example is something the Bosmer would only do when backed up against a corner, the same with The Hist. The ability to summon deadra however can be invaluable to both the Orcs and the Dunmer as they both are lacking in numbers. Also give me a heads up if you can think of 'Super Powers' for the other races.

There are very few cannons and they're only in sentinel. They're actually not really cannons, more of http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Great_Turkish_Bombard_at_Fort_Nelson.JPG, and are probably too big to put more than one on a ship. Also Sentinel guards their powder very very closely.

Bosmer: The Wild Hunt, the ability to transform the entire race into almost unstoppable monsters .

I might just add that the transformation is irreversible and that the monsters that survive are long lived and very powerful. So a head-ache for any survivors.

I always thought the Wild Hunt was just calling some Valenwood beasties out, properly frenzied. If the transformation affects every Bosmer and was irreversible, however, then there'd be no Bosmer since the death of King Borgas (or whoever) of Skyrim.

'Potentially can change an entire race', most of the time it only affects a few.

EDIT; Oops didn't realise I didn't add the 'potentially' in my post, I'll change that.

Not every Bosmer just those involved in the ritual. I'll dig up some sources, but I may well write my own lore regarding it, if nobody minds?

On the subject of Thu'um, there was the Imperial College of the Voice in Markarth Side, but apparently it was just a place for hacks and nobles' kids instead of preparing legendary voice-warriors of doom.

Actually, perhaps like The Hist and The Wild Hunt, The Greybeards would also be a backed up against a corner thing. I doubt the Greybeards would allow their nation to be taken and their entire race to be destroyed.
