The best kill is overkill - we'll simply burn the jungle down to cinder with all potential ambushers. Not like we're fighting in my place.

I mean that Argonians, Khajiit and Bosmer would have obvious, massive advantages. Where as Nords, Orcs, Bretons, Redguards and Dunmer would be heavily disadvantaged. Altmer I'm not sure about, I don't know much about the Summerset climate.
Imperials would obviously have an advantage, but that's excusable, considering every race would have an advantage on their home turf.

It's not about winning, it's about making it reasonably fair so no players are put out within the first twenty posts.

I was talking about purely within the jungles of Cyrodiil.

Then why post about the equality of the Imperial City at all?!

The thought of Argonians or Bosmer laying siege to the City is laughable but I agree with Anticlere that the Bretons would likely be most proficient (along with the Imperials) in the art (yes I consider it an art) of besieging a city. It's not all swarm of Orcs and flying Nazgul :hehe:

Who cares if you're out in twenty posts (not likely)? Even if the IC falls, I'm sure my remaining characters would be found a place in the conquering nations regime once Cyrodiil is annexed.

EDIT: Maybe take down the banner saying we need someone for the Imperials so that no one else tries to claim it and wastes time on CS. Not that mine has been accepted yet or anything but still.

I'm starting to feel that the Bosmer are considered weak and pathetic. :glare: Wait until I roll out the Precursor and the Silvenar, the body and the mind of the Bosmer.

Also don't forget about the Hunt, I'm reluctant to use it but if anyone complains about us I'll turn into a screaming demon thing myself. :flame:

Would have preffered to make this thread myself... considering now I can't edit in new information or characters.

Well as it's only an OOC thread, it's not too big a deal. The main Op to keep updated is the one in the actual RP thread me'thinks. Anyways, is my CS accepted? It's in the last thread. And Erasmos, we need you to be the arbitrator of the matter concerning the landscape of Cyrodiil and the layout of the Imperial City.

@Bosmer being ridiculous: Imagine a Bosmer holding the line.

Now imagine him holding the line against a berserking Orc. Or a Redguard Swordsinger. Or a Breton knight. Or his own wife.

DIDN'T THINK SO :P

I agree with you, personally, I would find someone else making an OOC thread for my rp as rude.

Also most of the opening post should be changed, if someone were to come along and read it right now, the would think Thekettleison was the GM.

Sorry guys, I've been out all day.. again.

Anyway, I've read through the previous comments and think perhaps we should combine both the In Game Cyrodiil, with the lore appropriate one. The Imperial City matter however is.. complicated, on one hand the cooler looking city is well, more interesting but if we chose to do the ingame city then we can have a map of each district, a better idea of how to take over it, along with all the different sewer entrances. I think the Imperial City design should be put to a vote, to make it more democratic and the actual land of Cyrodiil should be less of a 'dense jungle' but not entirely a typical forest setting.

And yes Leviathan your CS is accepted, I'll add it to the OP, well the one I can add it to.

Yes, I think it is quite rude, but it is done. Thekettleison, please write a note at the top of the page explaining that I am the GM please and that requests to join should either be posted in this thread or PM'd to me. Thank you.

Stick to your trees and you'll be alright. Except against the wives.

If a map is the trouble, I think I might know where to find one for a less round Imperial City that my vote obviously goes to.

No but we were discussing the city layout so I assumed. My mistake apparently.

Anyways, arguing over who created a thread is silly. It's simply an OOC thread and since the other one was at 210 posts it needed to be done

If everyone is ready then, I'll have my guys enter last to get the real meeting started. Not that I think much will get done in the open of the meeting but I figure I'll make my statement, then let every other nation make their statement then we can bicker at each other for a while before retiring.

I was talking about the layout of the city? Really?

Nobody was arguing about who created a thread. I was merely saying that it was rather rude and inconsiderate.

Oh, wonderful politics. It will be fun watching how everyone reacts to an Orc that isn't all "smash heads, kill stuff!".

Edit: sorry, forgot to vote. I'd honestly vote for the Imperial City as seen in Oblivion so that we can get the first major battle going without having to go through 3 OOC threads figuring out the layout. I want a larger version, of course.

Sorry Leviathan, I thought this post was made by Anticlere,

Well all I really want to know is if we are using the awesome version of the Imperial City, or the game one which is... well lets face it, it's far lower down on the scale of awesome-ness.

You both joined on the same date and everything. And I must have read it too quickly.
I read "the Imperial City" as Cyrodiil.

Silly me.

Oh also the Message at the top of the post needs changing, thekettleison, as we have found someone to play the Imperials. Jeez this is going to be annoying. Anyway, yes I think Ocato should make an entrance and start this meeting off. Oh and please, can no-one 'take the liberty' to create an OOC thread in the future, as my main posts are constantly updated and changed and it makes it extremely difficult to do so.

EDIT: And please can we vote on the Imperial City?

Personally I think the imperial city should be larger, and if it is going to be circular at least make sure it has eight districts (Excluding the Prison, the University and White Gold's own) and therefore eight spokes.

I'm not sure. I think I am of the same opinion as Athell.
It would be easier for us all if it remained the same as in game, though perhaps it could be a bit bigger. Obviously we shouldn't use the game for measurements of distance and population of settlements.

I too think everything should remain the same as the game but scaled up a bit. That way we can actually use the game to look at different locations etc. However I wanted to get different views on it before I decide, so as to choose the best solution for everyone.

I'm fine with the game version but it definitely needs to be bigger and more populated. I'm fine with the basic layout however.

Ummm it's just an OOC thread guys...It's not a big deal. If someone wants to join the RP they'll look at the RP thread not the OOC thread.

EDIT:

Look at it this way, we have a great naval force and swordsmen, but we lack in magical prowess. That is where we can provide for eachother. So what do you say?"

The reason they dont have mages is because the think Eastern Magick, Nuhra-hi(sp?) is evil or something like that. So....I dont think they would want to be using a lot of magick at all. Even with their allies. That's just my view on it though.

That reminds me, aSaP, I am very disappointed that you made an OOC thread for the Army of Ten RP. :stare: :lmao:

On a more serious note, I would think that the Redguard people, themselves, wouldn't be caught dead practicing Nudri - Hi but based on that guy in the Cheydinhal Mages Guild, he doesn't practice eastern magic, but he seems ok with the others doing so.

It just causes issues and OOC threads generally are made by the GM, it seems like an unwritten rule. It doesn't bother me too much but it did irritate me as I was writing up a new OOC thread but was just editing the OP, when I discovered one had already been made.

If it's a map you people are worrying about, I've asked for Tidus' permission to use his http://s77.photobucket.com/albums/j76/Titus-lord/?action=view¤t=TheImpeiralCity.jpg so if you like it and he consents, that's not really a problem.
