The War of the 4th Era

Post » Fri Mar 28, 2014 4:41 pm

Tamriel is split in war. The Thalmor have punctured a pinpoint location in a crumbling structure, and now it has come tumbling down...

Who sides with who?

Who do you side with?

Why, and how, do you predict a winner?

Personally, as a citizen of Tamriel in the 4th Era, I would be in a secluded cave studying magic until everything blew over. But for the sake of the topic, I'd say I would settle in Hammerfell, where I see potential for a strong army, and possibly even a new Empire.

Another storm is coming... where will you be when it hits?

It's me. I'm going in to fight the Thalmor, of course.

As for who wins I wouldn't much care as a soldier, but I'd imagine it would be the Empire/alliance, as humans reproduce and replace their losses much faster than the elves can, are able to fight the second Great War much sooner, and can continue a protracted conflict for longer. The only advantage the Dominion has is its magic, and that can be matched by the Psijics and the Telvanni.

I'd side with the humans and get my chance to go to Sovngarde.

How did I not see it? Gallowglass, the bass wielding bad ass in the front lines!

You have a good point with the balance of magic. I'd love to see Psijics and Telvanni fighting together....

Spoken like a true Nord.

Ha, I love the description. If I sign up to a dating site, that's the tagline

Love the idea of wielding the bass, like a battleaxe. In the event of elven war, invest in one of http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-3x6ZSd6Fjo8/UYRxzw99p6I/AAAAAAAAAzI/Am0aJ8ooYwY/s1600/BattleAxeBassGuitar.jpg.

Put in a good word ;)

Using my nightblade skills I harm both the human forces and the Dominion, for the lulz.

Gene Simmons would be proud... and they don't call bass guitars "axes" for nothing :D

Our drummer's dad has an 8-string fretless (guy's a machine...) and you could honestly crush someone's skull with it. If they're wearing elven armour, though, it might be a stretch. Would have to use a 12.

Where will I be during the next war? Depends, I could be gathering important information that could give the Empire an upper hand. Or, perhaps hunting down and eliminating the Dominion's leaders. Really all that matters is to keep the Emperor alive, after all what's an empire without an emperor?

Hmm, Are we talking about our characters or ourselves irl? I'll answer for both.

Vanhike would get drunk, bang his wife, Pick up his Nordic great sword and fight elves till his heart stops! :foodndrink:

As for me, I'd side with the humans cause [censored] the thalmor.

If we're talking about what our characters would do, mine would probably get drunk, bang Vanhike's wife, and run away from Vanhike and the Thalmor in equal measure.

 I've quite an array of instruments... I'd be throwing Mandolins like spears.

... [censored] just got real.

You, my friend, won't have an empire to give the upper hand

Aww, I've only got Locria and an old electric Ibenez. Then again, I do have the advantage of a claidheamh-mhor so I guess in a war I'd be fine

The new character will trade you your hagraven for a packet of pork scratchings and the roof rack to a Peugeot.

My character would probably gain some valuable information on both sides by doing some espionnage, and would then blackmail both of them, making allies turn against each other. She would then watch the alliances and therefore, the world, going down, with a smile on her face.

I suppose there's a chance it would survive, but looking at it's most recent past and the fact that my topic is about what happens after it collapses, I'd say it's meagre.

it's not going to 'collapse'. You may not like it...but it's the only hope for defeating the Aldermeri dominion.

I'm not saying I'd like it to, just that it began it's decline long ago, and it's really just a few dusty bones sitting between the Dominion and the other nations.

I would be firing up the Walker and stomping the Thalmor under the Daedric Armored feet and scouring thier Bones with Firebolts. Mehrunes Dagon would be proud.

I'd probably be trying to get that Siege Crawler near Bruma working, assuming it's still there and hasn't been stupidly broken down for scrap. It's no Numidium, but it's still a city-destroying WMD.

I'm with Dempsey, the empire's two, maybe three provinces now, and one of them it only has tenuous control of half of. Its internal politics is more divided than aggressively straight men in a sauna and I'm doing that metaphor thing again aren't I?

Haha, you're kidding right? Even if they do win in Skyrim, that London Bridge is falling down, my red skirt wearing friend  It's been hinted out a plenty.
