Well, Jonas is going have to be on before we start this, but even if he gets on right now, there's still things we have to do first.

@Venix: Yeah the only part of the Orange Box I like was Portal, which I believe that didn't think was going to do so well.

Yea, i never understood how so many people claimed the Half-Life series was so good it really wasnt IMO anyway the shooting.

Can i also just clarify that this is Jonasvault101's RP? or are you Jonas and silly all equal collaborators? wil you let people know by PM if they are in or on this thread?

EDIT: 49 more posts and thats it for this thread!

Jonas is probably slightly more important than me or Silly, but we all collaborators. And will probably but the names of the people in the Rp, in the actual Rp, to build suspense ya know.

Half Life at the time that it came out was pretty bloody spectacular. It had some fantastic multiplayer too, and I mean before Counter Strike and Team Fortress. Also, looking forward to the story starting. I'm rather curious what the first few words will be. Will it start with a POP or will it have a F1 style intro.

So we've got to wait for the actual RP thread? very suspenseifying (lul wut?) Jonasvault101 c'mon hurry up everyone wants to know!!!!!!!! lol

@MrSmileySmile: maybe that's why i didnt like it then, dont get me wrong im all up for some of the older games but for me Half-life just didnt do it i really had to push my self to complete the orange box, also carrying that damn nome (is there a K on that?) through the whole second episode for that achievment just made me dislike it more.

@Venix: It's gnome. I wasn't even referring to The Orange Box though, I meant the original Half Life. I bought it when it was still pretty bloody new for like $15 as they had some crazy sale going. The graphics are a far step back but it was an awful lot of fun.

It probably wouldn't hold up all that well today...but it had decent graphics and excellent AI for the time.

Premise is you're Gordon Freeman, something goes wrong, aliens attack, govt comes in to wipe out the aliens, govt figures they'll just go ahead and wipe you out too.

Creating suspense very well. Plus when you finally saw another human, one with a gun that is, you were happy because you figured you'd have some backup...then they turned around and opened fire on you. Good stuff.

It had this little flatline noise when you died to, you know "Beep beep beep beep beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep" that was awesome for Deathmatch. I was pretty good at it too. If someone by the name of Dr. Pepper ever lit you up with that MP5/grenade gun that'd be me.

I used to play SC(though I will admit that I completely svcked at it), but really I just want Portal 2 and Reach, mainly Portal 2.

Finally someone agrees! Though I hope the puzzles are more challenging, I only got stuck once, and that was for like seven minutes.

Ah i certainly didn't want to infer that i didn't like Portal. I finished Half Life 2 Episode 1 and the first little add on thing to it...but i got the most enjoyment out of Portal by far.

Portal 2 is on the way and i can't wait. I may have to play through Episode 2 of Half Life 2 just to see what links they talk about between Black Mesa and the Nostradamus

Not to be rude, but I hope we don't have quite as long waits once the story gets going.

Neither do I, but Jonas seems to have computer problems. And other people may have problems, we'll want to them. Patience is a virtue or something like that. Though I seriously doubt it will be going this slow when it begins.

If we're all talking about the Orange Box, that was the first game I "got" for the 360. I loved it (In front of the fire, too.) I was pissed when I couldn't play TF2.

I think that, yeah, DB Assassin was just saying some could be getting bored/annoyed/being on less often as more time passes for the RPG to start. I'm not complaining, but I understand what DB means. I've been in a good number of RPGs, and some would take so long to open that a lot of members would ignore it for longer and longer periods of time before checking it again, and often aren't as hyped about it. Usually what was really bad(I think) was then the RPG would lack members, because when the ones who started ignoring it for so long finally checked it again they were seriously behind. Which, after seeing that, would just quit(sometimes without saying so.) Well thought out and constructed doesn't really have anything to do with it-just the fact some lack patience and/or get bored. Personally, I'm just keeping up with the thread by reading it and otherwise doing things I'm otherwise supposed to be doing so that I keep myself busy. :) If I'm busy, I can't be bored, after all.

However, I'm sure the RPG won't suffer from the slight delays-though if anyone IS unresponsive who's supposed to play, someone might want to PM 'em to notify them of what's going on. Definitely helps...Though I guess that's kind of obvious, eh? ;)
