BE THE WEAPON Trailer

Looks to be coming along very nicely. I don't know what platform that this trailer was run with, but the frame rate and graphics look to be steady in my opinion.

As much as I hate EA and their registration policies, Crytek seems to always deliver. Looking forward to picking up CRysis 2 in March. Thanks

I'd go with a little cheesy as my description. Something about the whole thing just seemed a little cringe worthy, especially at the beginning. The part showing the powers was better, and then returning to the ultimate cliche 'I'm our last hope, hurp de hurr'. I'm assuming richard morgan didn't write the trailer :P

Also, be the weapon sounds like bruce's catchphrase in bruce almighty.

I'd also be interested to find what platform it ran on too, because it better not be the PC with all those jaggies!

However, gameplay looked good :D

Oh and it looked like New York was getting flooded at the end - I sense a "Frozen Paradise, Part II" :D
That would be pretty crazy.

this trailer is the best trailer ever. From my perspective it looks like Crysis 2 is going to be the FPS game with the best gameplay of 2011. Very very nice. The sliding is awesome and the thermal vision also. simply WOW.

It is an awesome trailer that's for sure. Only question it made me think about was how the hell did the statue of liberty get into the middle of the city? I hope we won't have some huge giant monster alien of some sort that kicks it there like in Cloverfield (which I think was a cool movie). Btw I don't think it was made from PC footage, so I hope we are going to get at least one trailer made out of that as well.

What do you mean by "Realistic"? Crysis was never realistic, perhaps the Jungles felt real, but they were never based on real areas. I think this new game is more realistic, to the fact that we're going to be see real monuments and some areas of NYC.

The trailer was amazing. The word "Immersion" comes to mind, especially with all the stuff you can do.

Not in terms of real areas, in terms of ''realistic'' looking visuals.

I thought the trailer was outstanding!

It revealed to me a lot about the suit, even tidbits of information.

Were the scientists at the beginning working on Alcatraz or Prophet? Anybody we know from the USS Constitution? If it was on Alcatraz, how does that correlate with the little info of the story we know so far?

Nanosuit 2 looks amazing. Good job Crytek.

The trailer is from the console version , what did you expect.
Very impressive visuals though for consoles , can't wait to see how the pc version looks maxed out :)

It was good, but I was wondering if throughout the game new york gets more and more destroyed - in the first footage of crysis 2 on gametrailers, everything looked clean and not destroyed. Here, well, look at the statue of liberty, and the clip of the whole city flooded. That's what I think the timeframe of the game will be like.

How do you know what is from what? Has there been any confirmation that this is from a particular platform? Expect the best, prepare for the worst lol, better to be safe than sorry ;)

Nevertheless the trailer was very entertaining :D

I also think it's from the consoles, because.. how should I explain, it just doesn't look like PC.
Even Crysis 1 had better graphics, so if this should be Crysis 2 for PC? no.
And the other argument is:
The Sandbox3 Video (at the PC), the fire there looked much more detailed and really better, but this one just doesn't look like it's on the PC.. :) logical, right?

The 3D trailer was PC footage.

Even still, Crysis strayed from realism. The detailing was realistic, but the styling was mildly "cartoony". As far as the former is concerned, C2 destroys the original.

imo what what has been shown so far, the art direction in Crysis 2 is much more refined and focused, which I think makes the game look better overall, even if the graphics haven't improved by as much as some people were hoping/expecting. Great trailer - nice to see an actual gameplay trailer instead of that pre-rendered BS that's everywhere nowadays (not that the pre-rendered stuff is bad, but it's not as good as showing off gameplay footage).
