The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is a story-driven next-generation open world role-playing game, set in a graphically stunning fantasy universe, full of meaningful choices and impactful consequences. The world burns as the Empire of Nilfgaard pierces through the heart of the kingdoms in the north. Geralt of Rivia is pursued by an enemy devoid of mercy—the Wild Hunt, a mythical cavalcade of ghastly riders, harbingers of doom and destruction, capable of destroying entire settlements overnight. Driven by a deeply personal agenda, Geralt must navigate a maze of hostile forces to find and protect the one described in an ancient prophecy.

Got the game, installing now. Bought the hard cover strategy guide. I am really surprised at the quality and great work. Also got an art book/history book included. That is a nice touch.

Was shocked to see what you get inside the case. Now hurry up xbox and install the game. :P

I found the game installed to the point where I could start it fairly quickly, about 5 mins which is good. Also just got the first two free DLC's and I'm probably going to get the season pass tomorrow, loving this game already!

Got a question. What is "Save game like Witcher 2"?

I want to make sure I get this part right. So how does this game save? How does the game save if I don't pick the "Save game like Withcer 2"?

If you're on PC, starting a new game offers an option to import saved game from Witcher 2, transferring some choices made in W2 to W3. If you're on console or haven't played previous games on PC, there should be an option to specify past events though a dialogue with a specific NPC.

So I played The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt for 6 hours now.

The main quests and the side quests are incredibly well written. I cannot get bored of playing The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. I tried pushing myself to get bored of playing, but for some reason I can't get bored playing.

There are no fetch quests like bring me 10 mammoth tusks. Unless you want to count the quest where you have to kill a gryphon to bring the head to a NPC, but that is to get more information about another NPC. So that ign.com article saying there are lots of fetch quests in both the main quests and side quests is completely wrong.

Even picking up plants doesn't get boring I don't know why.

Exploring the video game world map I can confirm there are places for you to explore everywhere. The video game world map of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is not a barren empty land like how The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim video game world map has a lot of emptiness.

Animal NPC's and monster NPC's actually do stuff as well. I was exploring a forest there was like 6 deer or 7 deer, then all of a sudden a pack of wolves appeared out of nowhere and started attacking the deer, the deer ran away the wolves chased the deer and I saw a wolf jump on a deer, the wolf killed the deer and started eating the deer.

Then as I explored more of the forests I found a abandoned house. No idea what happened to this house it had nothing left no roof, no walls, there was no traces of anything from that house being burned down to the ground. All what was left of the house was it's brick foundation.

The Nilfgaardian soldiers patrolling the roads actually protect other NPC's from being attacked. There was this guy by a river who offered a side quest I went to go to talk to him. All of a sudden some drowners came to try to attack me and him and the Nilfgaardian soldiers who were patrolling that road started running to attack and kill the drowners, while I was also attacking to kill the drowners.

There are lots of animations. There are cross roads where children play in the puddles, there was a NPC sitting on a broken stone wall that lines the roads the NPC was not sitting on the broken part of the stone wall, but next to it where there was a flat smooth part. The farmer NPC's you can see them go farm.

Armor and weapons being able to be broken is also done properly.

I can confirm minus the graphics downgrade 100% that CD Projekt RED delivered on like all of their promises.

Bethesda Game Studios officially has competitors. Even BioWare is a competitor for Bethesda Game Studios now, even though Dragon Age: Inquisition is not a 100% fully explorable open world video game like The Elder Scrolls video games, Fallout 3, and Fallout: New Vegas, but Betehsda Game Studios now has to be more serious about developing Fallout 4 and The Elder Scrolls VI.

Oh no, it's back to the Renaissance fair from the Witcher 2

Did they bring back the ridiculous jester looking hoods?

Am I the only one who's not fond of the saturated, vibrant color scheme? It reminds me of Fables style.

Just like the first 6 hours people had in Skyrim who now complain about it after spending anymore than at least 300 hours in it.

I personally disagree with the assertion that there is no fetch quests, one of the first quests you have to go and find ingredients for swallow

But I hope The Witcher 3 challenges Bethesda to make better Fallout games, with better writing and choices&consequences.
