@ S.T.A.R.A.C.

They trashed Skyrim in many occasions. I know this very well.

They are very aware what kind of POS is Skyrim. For many CDPR members Skyrim is stupid game.

------------

The only words that CDPR said ever, and criticized Skyrim where the following:

The Witcher 3‘s director Konrad Tomaszkiewicz stated about Skyrim, that Skyrim was too generic for him, and he wants The Witcher 3 to be better.

The lessons we learned from Skyrim is that you need to care about immersion in the game all of the time.

And Skyrim, it was generic; you could make the same quest a few times and every time [the] NPC didn’t spot that you made it for him previously.

To make this immersion every quest needs to be designed this way that NPC reacts for what you are doing.

The second thing, thinking about Skyrim, is that they don’t got very good characters.

I tried to remember five characters from Skyrim and name them from my memory, and I can’t, because this storyline is very generic and exploring the world is cool but they missed it.

Also he mentioned the following as well:

But Tomaszkiewicz and lead quest designer Mateus Tomaszkiewicz hold Skyrim in high regards. They just want to prove that The Witcher 3 can be better.

For sure we need to learn from them how to make an open world,” said Konrad Tomaszkiewicz.

“But when we combine it with our knowledge from the previous games it will be perfect RPG.”

---------

CD Projekt Red Environmental Designer Jonas Mattson thinks Bethesda's Skyrim is a great game, especially for people who like "playing around quite casually."

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be set in a huge open world, much like Bethesda's famed Elder Scrolls series, but CDPR is taking a different approach to the concept.

"I am a fan of Skyim, a lot of us love Skyim. But while they are doing their thing, like open world, jumping and playing around quite casually, we are doing it a little bit differently," Mattson told Gameranx.

"We are heavily story driven and open world. This hasn't really been done before and we want to prove that it can be done."

-------------

However, I don't think CDPR is actually believing, that Skyrim is a casual game in the usual sense, but rather that Bethesdas approach to story telling is a bit different than CDPRs approach.

The Elder Scrolls games are basically games, in which you can do whatever you want, while The Witcher has a much more directed experience.

For a studio taking its first run at an open-world game - if it works out, it could be an amazing game. !!!

So, please don't...http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?s=662dc299720f18e64cc91f58743c2ddd&&app=forums&module=extras§ion=legends#

--------------

IMHO Skyrim is an excellent game, there are many factors for that...

Spoiler

Environment:

This installment of the Elder Scrolls series made a huge improvement to the land. In Oblivion the majority of the land was flat.

In Skyrim the land are more diverse - one moment your walk though a snow covered forest, and then up on an expansive grassland.

The main gameplay in the game is exploration. Bethesda rewards the player that explores. Some of my most memorable times in Skyrim is through exploring around and found things that he never had expected. !!!

Character Customization:

Skyrim has a system set up so, that you can make your character an avatar into the world, as with many RPG's, but where Skyrim makes it a bit different, is the Play style.

You no longer need to choose a class and be restricted to the gameplay of that particular class, allowing you to have a deep experience.

Also there is no limit to how many skills you can invest in, maxing out every skill level to a level of 100, and then again...

Gameplay:

The gameplay is immensely fun. Either playing in 1st or 3rd person, the combat is engaging. Aso the special finishing moves are also exciting and addictive as well.

Lots of things to upgrade on your character, an huge number of quests to complete, many spells to learn, an unbelievable amount of places to explore, a rich lore supported by tons of books and documents within the game world.

However, the A.I. Is good but not great. It could be way better...

Quests:

The quests are always slightly different to each other, due to the environment. But there are quests that are fun and exciting and completely changes the pace of the game.

The voice acting is phenomenal in my opinion, as each character has believable voices for the game that adds depth to the game. !!!

Presentation:

Skyrim is a AAA game. According to that, the voice acting is phenomenal but where Skyrim does really a great job, is the music.

Skyrim's music sets a perfect mood for the game - so in my opinion the music sets the mood for the game, and Skyrim does this perfectly well.

Skyrims main theme, "Sons of Skyrim" really sets Skyrims theme. When you first hear it, you will get chills down your spine. !!!

The feeling that you get, when you absorb a dragon soul or learn a new word for a shout - and then the main theme kicks in - you really do feel like you are a Dragonborn.

Here is, where you can feel the Epicness and Depth of the game. !!!

Judging the game is stupid...

No stupid game sells over 20 million copies (announced by Bethesda at June 2013) and i don't know 20 million idiots...who are willing to buy that game 20 million times.

Horse topic from previous thread:

Yeah my Roach is pretty dumb. It'll randomly stop while at full gallop for absolutely no reason and it gets in my way during combat too. As an example: While fighting a group of ghouls it kept circling the fight over and over again clipping into me and the ghouls while making that annoying frantic noise.

I'm not sure I agree with them about this. I'd say Fallout: New Vegas is pretty story-driven and is also a pretty open world game to boot. And I think they did pretty well at it too, considering the constraints they were working under at the time.

Um for the 23 hours that I played The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt so far the main quests and side quests are way more story driven than The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim ever is.

So many quests have so many dialogue choices and consequences and quite a few quests have a impact on the video game world in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

That's just CDPR public statement about Skyrim. They want to be polite in the public, and it's good for advertising. But they really think it svck, back there in the studio. I have better source of information

And Skyrim has depth!?

How about the fact that you can twice kill the Emperor in Skyrim, then join his Legion, and everybody knows you did it. You kill the Emperor and so what!? It doesn't matter? And this is just one example.

Is this depth?

Skyrim is broken POS!

And actually on this planet there are billions of stupid people.

We!? Who do you represent?

Yes i hate Skyrim, and i have BIG reason for that.

And i'm on topic. I always talk about TW3 here.

No you're not really on topic. All you seem to be repeatedly saying is that : quote " Skyrim is broken POS" and the thread is actually about TW3 if you take the time to read the title. If you hate Skyrim that's fair enough but to keep on continually slating it and Bethesda is becoming somewhat tiresome to say the very least.

But i am. I always talk/write about TW3.

People here talk about some Skyrim influence on TW3 which is pure BS. It doesn't exist.

Lets just hope that Bethesda will learn from CDPR! That would be absolutely wonderful!

That's your opinion man, some other people think Bethesda shouldn't learn from CDPR. Every opinion is welcome, but you're a bit too aggressive @Skyrim and @Bethesda on a forum run by Bethesda, that's all. Piece of [censored] and the text in your signature is bashing, not criticism.

Why not dismount before you reach any enemies? There's red blips on the minimap showing the enemies are nearby or you can see them ahead of you....you can usually tell by the area that there's enemies, like the graveyard was no surprise to find a ghostly monster or finding drowners near water.

He was speaking about Fallout New Vegas. The Skyrim hating in the Witcher discussions is getting ridiculous now.

We already have DLC for Witcher? Horse armour and a hair cut? Is this automatic downloads or do we have to do it ourselves? On the Xbox One here.

*edit*

I see it now. 2 DLC. Beard and Hairstyle Set and Temerian Armour Set.
