The Wizard of House

Post » Thu Dec 15, 2011 10:42 pm

Hello this is my first post to the forum and I just want to say that I love the Fallout franchies (even thought I first play fallout 3) I learn the lore throught wiki) but respect and love New vegas even more. Okay with introductions out of way before I bore all of you, After playing old world blues and start talking to Dr. Mobious (luv the guy!! FOR SCIENCE!!! @_@) he made a wizard of Oz references I got to thinking pretty hard on Vegas itself that i though i was tripping on physco myself. For examples
The Courier = Dorothy = waking to a new strange new land that they don't know (for some odd reason the courier doesn't even know the NCR at the begin as example.)
Lily losing her mind = Scarecrow lack a brain.
Tin man "heart" = Boone losing the luv of his life.
Raul lack of will ( it how I see in him until I talk some sense into him/ plus creaking bone=lack of spine see what i did there.) = The Cowardly Lion lack of courage.
Yellowed brick road = Long 15
Emerald city = New Vegas
The Good Wicth = Victor or Yes man (depend on your view if this thread made any sense)
The wicked witch of the west = the monster of the east (legate lanius)
flying monkey = the faction ur basiclly fighting against.
and of course Mr. House = Oz (one all smoke and mirror and the other the real deal, question who?)

I pretty sure there more refereces made in the game that for the life out of me that I can't think of, so this is where everyone else come in. Either come up with a connection of the two world or come up with a reasonable way to make them fit in the Oz world.
Before anyone said anything I made this thread just to have something fun to read. (hoping something hilarious to brighten up my day)

I'd vote ED-E for the role of Toto.

pfft no way, Rex doesn't even seem to follow the Courier after the game ends, only ED-E, so ED-E=Toto, makes sense.

Does anyone know a good person in Vegas that can fit the sucide munchkin. I draw a blank on that one. Plus I don't want to leave Benny out of this but I can't think anyone or anything that he can represent with.

So would that make NV an allegory to what the wizard of oz is an allegory to?
