Zombies without a doubt... it would be the most fun of any type of apocalypse. Plus its the only type of apocalypse I have a plan for :whistling: Second choice would be nuclear though.

#2 Grain Situation

I know, stupid right? I mean taken down by grain. Well biologists seem to believe that one day the human race is going to create the mother of all GM crops. With Genetic Modification, you can take out a certain gene, or add another here and there, so that the crop is resistant to certain diseases or insects. What is predicted however is a Super Grain capable of withstanding anything; diseases, insects, extreme temperatures. They will be able to grow in practically any soil, maybe even rocks, and would probably be immune to anything mankind can throw at them. And it doesn’t have to be grain, that was for arguments sake. It could be anything. In Canada for instance GM raqeseed (canola) leaked from a test field and into the countryside. Now Super raqeseed is shooting up all over Canada. But it could be anything. Not just stuff that will make bread or vegetable oil. What if it turns out to be Cotton. We’re totally screwed.

Alien attack might be kinda cool with all their technology. (spaceships, rayguns etc) Apart from all the death and the fact that the world was ending we would finaly know that we are not alone.

I'm thinking some kind of rapture thing like in American Dad where everyone gets naked then flies into the sky. I'll be on earth and the first thing i'm doing is hitting up the local hunting/sporting good store. No way i'm going down without a fight against some kind of demon. Same would be if aliens came down and started attacking people.

Alien invasion that I fight off single-handedly dressed as Lance Bean. Unfortunately, in a War of the Worlds moment turned on its head, we all die from viruses and bacteria that the invaders had introduced. The only survivor, Elton John, who will perform "Rocket Man" at my glorious funeral. It will be attended by no one, yet somehow remembered by the sentient race that takes mankind's place.

A combination of several things:

Asteroid impacts the Earth!
Virus released by asteroid causes supernatural powers & weaknesses to develop in certain individuals (Wild Card superheroes)!
Aliens invade!
Alternate strain of Wild Card virus causes undead (incl. zombies) to rise from their graves!
Genius superhero creates AI machine power to combat zombies & supervillains - AI rebels and turns on humanity!
Dinosaurs emerge from chasms in the tortured earth - they weren't extinct after all!
Ensuing battles and natural disasters result in the downfall of civilisation, turning the world into a savage dreamscape of human conflict amidst the bones of the old world!

Not that I've given the subject much thought, or anything...

Anyway, looks like we have plenty of zombie survivalists in our midst. If a zombie apocalypse ever actually does happen, the first thing I'm going to do is make a thread about it on here called "Zombie Apocalypse: Thread 1". We shall see who gets the most kills by the end of it, if we survive that is. . . Shotgun, I call going to the mall!

If the world really HAS to end then a zombie apocalypse would be pretty cool. Wake up in the morning, realize what's going on, head to the garage, pick up a shovel. I'd then run over to Wal-Mart and stock up on various firearms seeing as I don't own any (and Wal-marts like 5 minutes away). I'd then head over to my buddies house who's got a whole [censored] load of guns and hold out there. Now if he's a zombie by then though well, I'm probably [censored]

That's my plan anyways. Probably going to work as long as they're slow zombies, fast ones well, I'd probably get eaten before I even make it to Wal-Mart

If there are zombies, they better damn well be slow ones. I don't even know why the concept of fast zombies even exist. Death isn't an energy drink, you know.

IMO a zombie apocalypse would be a horrible way for the world to end. Do you really want to see your friends and family eaten, possibly infected....possibly have to "kill" them yourself...etc....? Yikes!

Nuclear provided I get to be either 1) right near the explosion so I die quickly or 2) I am far enough away so that I don't get radiation poisoning (I would still die, but it could be some fun for a while).

If not, then a comet. Sounds quick. Natural disasters just sound horrifying.
