The WORST Glitches

Post » Sat Feb 01, 2014 12:49 pm

Hey everyone! Just curious what the worst glitches you have had are! I have had quite a few and let me tell you: they are ANNOYING! Keep in mind, I dont mean like glitches to get to chests or under the map or something. I mean the glitches that just impede your gaming experience, make the characters act weird, make the environment change, or make the game crash.

Some examples are as follows:

(1) I couldn't even begin the companion quests because one of the main characters that I was supposed to talk to would not leave me alone! No matter how far away I walked or ran, he would run up beside me and begin a dialogue sequence. If I managed to talk to some other character, he would appear and his speech options would appear instead. I even fast traveled across the map and he came running through the fields to find me! I had to load the game before I met him.

(2) I was randomly attacked by my own companion, Lydia, while on a quest with her by my side! I did NOT touch her. But, out of nowhere she began swinging at me and saying things like "Get him" and "There he is!"

(3) I got the quest to view a guys small museum in dawnstar! I was already building my daedric armor and needed more hearts so I eagerly awaited this quest. But, the moment I walked into the museum I was assaulted by the owner of the museum (a mage)! I had no choice but to fight back! When I killed him, a notification came up that said something like: "Silus Vesuius is dead and his work has died with him!" From there, I couldnt complete any more of the questline. Even when I re-loaded the game, he still attacked me!

(4) I killed quite a few guards in whiterun! So many, in fact, that if I even choose now to go to prison in Whiterun, the game crashes. My bounty is not able to be payed off and far exceeds any other bounty I have seen on my friends accounts.

Please post your own experiences and let me know if you have had any of these problems! Yes, they are annoying! BUT, they are also somewhat funny or at least fun to talk about!

For the first one, I bet 1000 septims that it's Farkas. Just pay off your bounties.

I guess tje most annoying bug for is that weapons don't clean up properly, as do some dead bodies and ashpiles.

I also don't like the Atronach Stone bug.

You pretty much absorb your own summons from the Conjuration tree. Which means you cant summon your Atronachs, and Dremora Lords.

The worst glitches for me are the ones that break quests.

Radiant quests where the item/creature/NPC I'm supposed to steal/take/fix/kill/talk to doesn't spawn, or does spawn but the quest doesn't update once I've completed the task.

The Dawnguard Moth Priest glitch, where if he doesn't spawn in the proper location he's permanently hostile to you for the rest of the game and breaks the entire Dawnguard main quest line.

I have had several of these happen to me on my playthroughs. Since I'm on the PC I can use console commands to force complete the broken quests, but I hate having to do that.

Ive never really had "terrible" glitches.....knock on wood.
Just when the loading screen freezes. I think that one irks me the most.
I mainly get funny ones. Like when my male kid runs around in his underwear.
I was doing the hagraven quest for kodlak, and after removing the witches heads, their bodies stood straight up. Kinda freaky lookin.

If Esbern and Delphine are avoided for too long after the Main Quest, Esbern will always fast travel to wherever you fast travel to and say, "Please, Delphine is worried.".

Even when Delphine is visited, he still does it... forever.
