My favourite radiant quest from the companions is the "Escaped Criminal" quest.
I check the map to see the location of the escaped criminal and then once I think I have got there (no HUD and no "cheating" by checking the 3D map) I search the area without knowing the exact location of the escaped criminal.

When Skjor dies this radiant quest also dies with him.

I really hope the glitch that makes him respawn happens on my current character.

The worst thing about Skjor's death is that he doesn't stay dead.

Also this. I've received the escaped criminal quests from Vilkas.

Skjor always gives me missions to retrieve stolen family heirlooms and such. Escaped criminals always came from Vilkas and beating up people came from Farkas.

Granted Skjor has to die though I gotta say its probably one of the confusing parts to the companions. Why he went in alone without waiting for his shield sister? If our trial was to kill some silver-hand then why did he rush in to kill them alone? How did he get caught without killing at least one of them? The fact Aela loses her lover is sad but then they leave his body there.

Despite the fact Aela says she will send Farkas for the body... they never do. There is no funeral either. In fact if Skjor doesn't respawn (the glitch) his body for ever remains there in that old fort... naked on a table (in my game... I stole his armor...)

I never get the quest from him. He always sends me to rescue someone.

I do not think Aela and Skjor were lovers though, I think they went out together at night because they were the only ones who actually truly preferred the beast blood and had no problem letting it go wild sometimes. Doesn't she mention that they were were like brother and sister (more so than the rest of the companions?)

guess you never heard Aela be asked by one of the others in the companions about them two being together. Aela's defensive answer strongly suggests they are.

nope, somehow managed to miss it. The only reason i knew anything at all about it was because of UESP, which does not say either way, so i admittedly just assumed.

It's Njada Stonearm that asks Aela about her and Skjor but she denies it. There is nothing in the CK relationship data for Aela about Skjor being her lover. It usually lists those types of relationships for NPCs if they exist like Julienne Lylvieve/Tasius Tragus, Bryling/Falk Firebeard, Lisette/Jorn, Vivienne Onis/Sorex Vinius, etc,.

Me too. I'm pretty sure Skjor and Vilkas are supposed to give the same quests - Escaped Criminal, Family Heirloom and the one where you rescue a kidnapped citizen.

I didn't know this. Lisette and Jorn, is there ANYTHING in-game indicating that they are a couple?

That Sorex has been in love with Vivienne for ages is rather obvious when you talk to him, but that dialogue also gives the impression that she's not that interested in him. He can be overheard buying her a drink (which will render him a quite flirty response) - but he can also be overheard buying other female npcs drinks as well, with different outcome.

Not anything that I've noticed. Based on the data in the CK the intent was there, but it doesn't seem like they did anything with it.

I'm pretty sure she never says this--and believe me, I've combed through all her voice files.


I don't see any reason why she'd lie or be defensive about it if it was true. It's pretty clear to me that she's defensive because she and Skjor are sneaking out at night to use their beast forms, which of course is kept a secret from the whelps.

well I won't argue with ya on that since your listing the companion mods I love in your sig because you made them. But I could have swore she says something to the effect of going back and telling the others. That they would help get back the body. otherwise I made that all up in my head and you should add it to the mod. A funeral for Skjor.

Sneaking out... beast forms... lovers. all the same to me. Aela and Skjor snuck out at night. If it was a good cover then Aela should have lied and said she and Skjor are lovers. Would have cast less suspicion.

If you didn't make that last line I was going to say that you might want to wait until he returns . . . while his dead body is still apparently where he died at.

I do find that Skyrim leaves so many details out, we're almost forced to develop our own headcanon to connect the dots... and then that headcanon kind of bleeds into the "official" events of the game. That happens to me, too. But all she really says is "Get out of here. I'm going to make sure we got the last of them, and see if there's any information to be gotten from the bodies."

I thought about a funeral for Skjor, but didn't want to upstage Kodlak. (I also need to do something about Skjor's room.) My headcanon there is that maybe the Skinner started his work on Skjor, so the body wasn't suitable for public display...

If you had something like Kodlak's funeral but without the Jarl and towns folk showing up. I think that would be nice. Or maybe even something for him in the under forge. Its just such a left open part of the companions story. No wonder he spawns back to life.

How hard would it be to have Skjor turn into a werewolf? When you and Aela find him there is a dead werewolf corpse on the ground (not the one on the table) and it would be interesting if Aela says "Thats him... I know by his scent." or something like that.
