I haven't heard anything about it from the devs but many people have asked for, were still at least 2 months from release so anything that doesnt affect gameplay balance is fair game, so lets hope.

i just think it would be a rally cool additional feature to the game to take awsome screen shots and make video clips then have a place to share them like on skate 2

When a game enters beta it generally means they aren't planning to add or greatly change any of the features, they're just tweaking them and cleaning them up.

Well, hopefully the Hud can be minimalized for a Red vs Blue style series for Brink. The customization options are practically begging for that to happen. :P

Bad News, bad News. Theatre/Cincematic Replay modes are the future, I believe. Make a game grow big on Youtube means more people will be attracted to it.

i'm no programmer, but to me that seems to be a quite easy thing to implement with a patch after release. just let the game grow on community and it'll come.

I could really see a RvB series in brink I mean it wouldn't be hard to make new a creative characters for it quickly.... as long as you can remove the hud and guns.

I think videos are the base for a large community. I mean, there are billions of Modern Warfare videos on Youtube and these are a very important factor in community-building. As for example in one commentary the guy said every time he would watch a MW2 video he comes back to play MW2, even though the game frustrates him so much (which it is designed for, he says).

RvS rather, no? :P

I actually think there is quite a lot to compare with halo. I mean, when halo first came out, it was a new franchise that not that many people had heard of, but became instantly popular over more realistic shooters due to unique elements that have been mimicked several times afterwards.

When I played Crysis 2, I thought that was really similar to Halo.

When I played BRINK, I thought it was really hard to compare with any other online shooter.

I didn't mean that gameplay was comparable, but I just think that Brink's effect on the market may end up being similar to Halo:CE

Oh well, I don't think so. I mean, BRINK really doesn't show off anything new.

You have had Parkour-Elements in Assassin's Creed for quite a while now and even MW2 does offer you a simple kind of them.
You have had a much more detailed customisation in APB and a lot of games start offering this as well.

And these are the major selling points of BRINK, imho.

The only actual unique thing it boils down to will be the art style.

Which Parkour is mostly about. Assassins's Creed illustrates the spirit of Parkour very well. Especially in the Race-Sidemissions.

I just realized why it wouldn't work as well though, Halo's Master Chefs, I mean Chiefs, all have helmets so you don't have to wory about mouth movements. Unless people get creative with their image editing... or all the characters wear masks. >.<;

If you want a parkour example, Mirror's Edge would probably be a good fit
