I put a full set of Cicero and nightingale armor on my maniquin in my house and I just came back to solitude and....they were gone!!!!
anyone know what happened?

Did you purchase any house upgrades? A known issue is some containers (which mannequins effective are) get reset when you purchase upgrades for that house.

Same thing happened to me in Riften. I had to leave the house, then go back and my stuff was back on the mannequin.

Do you have any followers in the house.. If you leave a follower in a house naked.. At times they can feal endangered and rush to clothes..

Did you actually check to see if the stuff was gone? Maybe they just aren't being displayed but you can retrieve them?

The only thief here is Bethesda for allowing such terrible bugs to make your items disappear.

Save often and always create new saves, don't overwrite your old ones in case you need to go back to a specific time.
