my theory on future dlc's

Post » Sat Nov 28, 2015 3:11 am

The future dlc's for fallout 4 are most likely completely new. But what if there based off of the Fallout 3 dlc's? Well if they are, than i will try to speculate what they will be about.

1. broken steel.

in the game play trailer, its very clear that the brotherhood is the enemy. and if you somehow die at the end of the game, you end up with some faction, probably the minutemen because Preston have been seen fighting someone in the concept (maybe the brotherhood). And you have to rid the brotherhood of boston

2. point lookout.

http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1528354-is-long-island-the-new-point-lookout/

not gonna spend much time here, just one of my previous titles.

3. operation ancorage.

the concept released on the 4th of july

http://cdnstatic.gamesas.com/bethblog/2015/07/MoF_MURAL1440px.jpg

maybe you expierience the battle we sea in this concept.

4. mothership zeta.

we saw concept of them, i have no idea, maybe you find them on the moon battle?

people watching the quakecon showing mention a scene where BoS helps the player fight of enemies, so most likely they are more neutral then "evil"

Actually the Brotherhood is not THE enemy. The brotherhood is a potential enemy. We can most likely choose a faction for the story. We already see the PC wfighting together with the brotherhood too.

And really? No! I want not copy pasted DLCs from FO3...

Some sort of nautical DLC would be cool, since we are by the ocean.

Some ideas for quests in it:

Jaws rip-off: A sea monster is keeping trade boats away from a small seaside coastal town. The corrupt mayor of the town doesn't want word getting out as the town depends on it. Kill the beast or help him assassinate whisteblowers.

The player is Shanghaied by a ghoul in a nuclear submarine. Hunting down a chinese sub with its own ghoul captain, long after the war is relevant. Find a way to escape, help him, or convince him of the pointlessness of it all.

No, it is definantly not clear that the BoS is the enemy. It was obviously made clear it was optional, which is great.

Cheesy as it is, I love to see something like Rapture from Bioshock done with the theme and style of Fallout.

A nautical DLC would work very well, especially given http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1529102-skills-perks-revised-edition/?p=24211796 information posted on my skills thread. Note that the OP still needs to be updated, but my updated interpretation of the V.A.N.S. perk, complete with a ton of evidence to back it up, is Vault-Tec Assisted Nautical System.

Albeit controversial topic, I like DLC, especially for Fallout because it’s always comes across to me at least as original and fascinating so I've come up with 3 quick possibilities DLC could go concerning the location.

1.)H.P. Lovecraft – Many of Lovecraft’s classic horror stories take place in Massachusetts, inspired by the north shore towns of Newburyport and Gloucester. So maybe an eldritch fishing village with Mirelurks inspired from the Innsmouth or a Herbert West type character.

2.)Worcester – If you’re from Massachusetts you know how much of a cesspool Worcester, located in Central Mass (although if you’re from Boston you consider anything west of Framingham as Western Mass) is fairly large city with some pretty good colleges and music venues, but the town does has a reputation to be a magnet for junkies and other unsavory characters. I’m not trying to disparage the town, it’s not that bad, but it does make me imagine the place as a raider stronghold if it took place in Fallout times. It could be a raider faction the size of Cesar’s Legion, or maybe even an off shoot, to maybe parallel how the Byzantium Empire evolved from the Western Roman Empire.

3.)Martha’s Vineyard – Martha’s Vineyard is a little island of the coast of Massachusetts where some of the wealthiest residents of Commonwealth reside, or primarily have summer homes, including America’s only royal family, The Kennedy’s. I don’t know how involved JFK is specifically in the Fallout timeline, but the family it’s self has been involved in American politics and business since the turn of the 19th century. The plot could resemble maybe you’re doing a heist into a compound on the island or you’re captured and hunted for game by the biggest of the Commonwealth aristocrats.

This! I would love a very creepy atmospheric DLC that took on a survival horror vibe, perhaps even taking away your weapons for a little while and having you evade "somthing" like the amnesia series. They managed it with FO3, beth seem to be good at alluding to things of a supernatural nature but not explicitly showing it.

I hope this means there is a faction system like we had in NV, just better.

It's already confirmed on some descriptions, that there will be multiple factions you can join... or do it on your own :)

It's on every site that sells the game; http://store.steampowered.com/app/377160/, Amazon, etc., even https://www.fallout4.com/games/fallout-4. I highly doubt the faction-system will be as complex as NV, I wouldn't expect that from Bethesda, but it's good to see they are at least implementing one.

I wouldn't be surprised if we had a side quest involving the return of Ug Qualtoth or involving a cult devoted to it.

Well I'm hoping for 'Ronto' to make an appearance as DLC. It was mentioned in Fallout 3: The Pitt.

I would like to see how Lake Ontario, Younge Steet and the CN tower look in Fallout 4, that is if it's based on Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

I'm really hoping for Canada. Be a good opportunity to A) give a different environment B ) show the state of another country (if you can call it that in the Fallout universe) C) Expand pre-established lore about the occupation etc.

They Abbey of the Road, and Ronto would be my DLC picks.

There isn't exactly a whole lot of famous landmarks and such in Boston's neighboring states to be anywhere but there.

Except maybe New york City, but ugh..... how overused.

New York is kinda overused. But if they put a Falloutverse spin on it, could be interesting. Maybe a 1939 world's fair, Art-Deco (as opposed to a more Googie-modernism, like the rest of Fallout), world of tomorrow.

Like Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow (not a movie I thought was great, but it had neat art design: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1-l11SrlWHk )

We discussed The Abbey in my thread "Keeping 'The Faith' " and I would love to see more of that group. I think they could even tie in with investigating the Ug Qualtoth cult since it was already established in Point Lookout that they know about the Krivbeknih.

My biggest problem with NYC is that no body ever mentions it in the games (or at least not in F3 or NV). You would think if there was anything there wouldn't somebody mention it?
