Theory on why the akaviri were searching for Reman

Post » Mon May 07, 2012 10:00 pm

The akaviri that were searching for reman was probably the Tsaesci or slaves/servants of the tsaesci. The akaviri dragonguards(founder of the blades) could also predict the future as seen in alduin's wall. They could most likely predict what would happen on their own lands too.and they would know that Tosh Raka would turn into a divine dragon eventually and lead the ka po tun to power. Maybe this is why they were searching for reman, a dragonborn. The tsaesci overlords demands their servants to bring them a dragonborn! only then would they be able to destroy the tiger dragon empire and rule Akavir again!

Following that line of thought, they would likely eat-(him)-to-become-(him): A whole race of Dovahkiin snake-people.

That reasonable. But I just thought they were looking for a dragonborn because they where genocidal about dragon slaying.

Unlikely, I think. the dragonguard swore allegianec to Reman, not the other way around. They protected him and his heirs. I haven't seen any evidence ever that they or any of their offspring tried to get Reman or any of his offspring to attack or even go to Akavir.

That reasonable. But I just thought they were looking for a dragonborn because they where genocidal about dragon slaying.

You'd think that, but then they barely slay any dragons... The guys are a bit strange if you ask me.

Akavir is a mysteri. We don't even know if tosh Raka is real. But this is TEs, so everithing is real, even Sauron. He must be hidden at Red Mountain :ermm: Anyway can really the Blades see the future? Alduni wall was more like a history book written on the wall if i can rememeber. The only guys that i know that can see the future is Jyggalag and Akatosh.

If I had to guess I'd bet the Akaviri were looking for Tosh Raka.

From my understanding it seems as if the whole premise for their "invasion" was to help stop the prophecy and prevent the apocalypse which they foretold, hence the searching for a dragonborn. Only they arrived a few eras too early maybe? If so then that explains the establishment of the blades and construction of the wall of alduin so they would know what to do when the time came.

Then of course we know of the rise of the dragon Tosh Raka who has apparently destroyed the ancient tsaesci empire and hence they are unable to help/invade now. They also probably didn't foresee the thalmor almost completely destroying the blades, leaving the fate of the world up to only the PC and a couple of blade survivors, seemingly unprepared.

I also find it interesting that history has viewed the akaviri as invading conquers intent on dominion over Tamriel when the akaviri diary ingame states that there "reputation" has been ruined amongst the locals.
