is there any affinity meterindicator for companions?

Post » Fri Dec 11, 2015 2:32 pm

I'm just wondering if there is any meter that gauges your companions' affinity level, because I keep pissing Cait off and doing things she likes. Not sure how close I am to reaching max affinity or if there's any hope of reaching it at this point.

Sorry if this was already posted, I couldn't find a pertinent thread.

No, you must talk to them and choose the "How are things between us" options. No clue what it is without the full dialogue mod, but i imagine it is pretty obvious.

Thanks, do you know if its possible to do enough things that a companion dislikes to the point where it is impossible to reach max affinity with them? Or do I just have to pick so many locks and stop doing things Cait dislikes to reverse the negative affinity until it reaches max?

I guess just find out what triggers a "like" and do more of that. I don't think you can get locked out of reaching max affinity, just keep picking those locks. Solid foundation for a relationship there.

They stop traveling with you eventually. While it doesn't lock you out, it makes it infinitely harder.

thanks for the feedback everyone. I don't think I'll play much over thanksgiving weekend here, but i'll bump the thread when/if i reach max affinity with Cait. Maybe I'd be better off just going back a few hours and start over with her.

Are you on PC by any chance? You can check with console commands.

The command in question would be "getav ca_affinity" after clicking on them in the console to bring up their refID. The number ranges from 0 to 1000, with triggers at 250, 500, 750 and 1000. I think.

Cait loves her some lockpicking, and stealing, and drinking, and popping chems. Fun gal!

I got her max affinitiy now. It happened almost instantly after I completed her sidequest, but the biggest like boost for me was stripping all armor right before fast travelling where ever on the map. She would always like that every time we arrived to the new place on the map. That and drinking booze often.
