Is there any decent looking light armor?

Post » Tue Dec 13, 2011 4:33 pm

Are they any at all? I just got te glass smithing perk and I hate the look of that armor. Besides the any you get from the thieves guild is there any good looking armor or there? Does dragon have a light version? I really hope so and it better look good. I've invested so many perks into light armor that I really don't want to change to heavy but I will if I have to. I'm just worried about the heavy weighing me down but I suppose I can use the steed stone with it right?

Dragon scale is light. I have yet to obtain it, but it looks...well it depends. Some people love it, some hate it, so it depends on what you would define as good looking armour.

It does seem that heavy armour has the edge in terms of appearance; I can't say I really care for the look of any light armour especially, at least the female versions. I ended up substituting the meshes for the Blades armour for the scaled armour that my character's currently using.

This is true - it all depends on the character and the look you are going for.

The Leather armor looks pretty cool, the Scale looks good except for the chest/main piece. Leather Armor + Dragon Priest Mask + Leather or Scale Bracer and Boots probably looks the best, in my opinion, not counting the faction stuff. Hide gloves aren't bad if you don't like bracers. Or just the plain Gloves, no AC, but you can enchant them (I think).

Elven and Glass look better than they did, but still too gaudy for my tastes. The Dragonscale is pretty terrible looking, way too cartoony.

Looking forward to mods that add subtle light armors, much needed.

My favorite armor is the Leather Armor. I growing to like the Glass Armor. I never worn the Scaled Armor (too fugly), and, as my character is a Nord, I doubt she would be caught dead wearing Elven Armor. I have never had my character wear fur armor; it's ridiculous. A character running around the frozen wastes in a bikini top and skirt. Plain stupid. Plain. Stupid. Hide Armor? Meh.

Yet as rediculous as fur armour is, there is always forsaken armour. Make them tough in the Reach.

Dragon light armor doesn't suit a stealth char at all IMHO. Looks fine on a warrior or archer though.
Personaly I like the glass armor better, even though it looks... heavy ^^;

Imperial Light armor is really nice, I'm level 43 and I wear it at times.
Dragon Scaled armor is also light. I wear it when I want that extra protection.
I think Nightingale looks ridiculous on males so I'm not wearing my set. You look like Batman with an Argonian mask.

I agree - Dragon scale looks better for a light-wearing warrior. Not something my assassin would want to wear.

You look like Batman with an Argonian mask.

Lol - true true.

Are you on PC? If you are you can mod dragonscale armor to have the appearence of nightingale armor. To me most armors don't look nice; they look weird. Only the lower level armors look better. Nightingale looks ok-ish but the cape..just reminds me of batman.

I looked up dragon scale armor and I love it. Next question is I reached the last perk in the light armor side of the smithing tree.
Will inve able to continue you to dragon or do I have to go up the heavy side of the tree as well?

I really like the look of the leather armor, and imperial light. I also modded my game to make my favorite armor in the game, blades armor, light. So I am rocking blades chestpiece, light imperial boots and leather bracers (looks better then you might think) :P

I like my old rusty iron armour, short leather gloves and them boots like what the mages wear. Had the Blades heavy armour but that limited the amount of stuff I could carry.
