Im currently using reinforced leather armor. Im level 18 and have access to medium and heavy armor, but i prefer to be able to move quickly, and have already selected the perk that grants an extra 10% to speed when wearing light armor. So, are there alternatives to the leather armor?

what console are you on?
if 360, dead money gives a assassins suit which is light and has 14 DT.

if not, reinforced leathers you best bet

Vault 34 security armor (DT 16) and if you have the Dead Money dlc you can pick the Sierra Madre armor, reinforced (DT 18).

Yes i have a 360. Thanks for the advice, ill look for it when i do dead money.

If only you pre-ordered from Best-Buy in that case you would've been able to redeem the unique Lightweight Metal Armor which is light and very tought DT and looks wise.

Chinese Stealth armor is light DT 12, +5 sneak.

Advanced Science Suit is light DT 13, +5 Science, 40% rad resistance, but can't wear headgear.

Space Suit is light DT 10, 40% rad resistance.

Being buddies with the Followers will eventually get you ~

There are times when I don't wear armor at all.

Sometimes it's because while wearing the Space Suit or Business Suit or Utility Suit etc., I just forget to swap apparel. And sometimes I intentionally wear nothing at all. In these cases what is my armor protection? It's called the Reload Key. This set of armor never fails me. I always walk away victoriously.
