Is there any way to make it so the cd doesn't have to be in

Post » Wed Jun 13, 2012 11:17 pm

Well, the title pretty much says it all. Not sure if it's possible but if so I'd like to be able to avoid having to keep it in there so much, and with me traveling. In comparison to starting every other game I have with a simple click, it gets annoying. So, any way to? I have the game of the year edition, version 1.6.1820 .

We don't allow any discussion of avoiding the copyright check here, so no, it has to be in your drive when starting the game. Once the game starts it can be removed and the EULA does allow the creation of an archival disk, but of course, we can't discuss any way to use that.

Ok. I thought I'd seen talk of it some where on here before or I wouldn't have asked, since that's usually the case.

The next time it's on sale at Steam for $9 (and it will be) buy it. I did and it was worth it both for convenience and safety.

Nah, I'll live with the cd problem vs buying it off of steam. I've already bought the game twice now, and had a hard time justifying that in my mind. Buying it a third time for convenience is probably overkill..
