is there anyone like me?

Over 20 settlements and way more junk than I'll ever use, but I just can't stop picking it up, especially now that I have Strong Back maxed. I pick up everything. I've never had a shortage of anything except Ballistic Cloth (use for caps) and certain ammo types I'm fond of.

If this is true for console versions of the game also, I think I shall dance the happy dance of happiness.

No because i let my follower pick up everything, which he/she can overstep the carry limit with no downside, pretty useful but it takes alot of time. if i by any chance gets full, i hitch a ride to a settlement. I want to loot everything and hate to miss out even a coffe mug lol.

I don't fast travel, but I do have the maxed Lone Wanderer perk and 2 Ranks into Strong Back. Also, full Deep Pocketed Shadowed Heavy Combat Armour and a decent level of STR.

I don't use companions either, but I have every non-faction related Settlement unlocked, and Jamaica Plain was my last and is still in the process of being constructed. It's location is immensely useful due to it's proximity to several resource intensive places.

Anyway, a good amount of my carry capacity is taken up with my weapons and armour, but I'll start picking up less things after I've fully constructed a defensible outpost/settlement at each location.

For example, Outpost Zimonja will get a smallish shack for my needs and the rest will be defensive walls, turrets and guard posts. The Starlight Drive-In however, will have separate sectors for myself, farming and residential. I could really do with an increase to the Settlement size limit there tbh, and the option to either bury those skeletons or boil them up for oil.

I am a massive packrat, but I don't do the encumbered thing. I either take multiple trips to get everything, or I distill down to the "best" stuff and ignore the true junk (like 5lb car parts that only give 1 or 2 steel). Lone Wanderer + Strong Back = lots of capacity

(only time I used the run & FT while encumbered perk was when I moved all my crafting supplies from Red Rocket to the drive-in.)

I walked from the glowing sea to Sanctuary Hills with Nick and have taken other long walks across the map because I didn't want to drop stuff.
