Is there anyway to block out light from certain spots?

Ok I have a light in a hallway it is supposed to look like it is coming from a window, it seems to do a pretty good job except that the light also shines into the rooms next to it, is there anyway to block out the light from shinign into those rooms? Here is picture so you can better understand what I mean...

Unfortunately there is no way. All you can do is

1. Decrease the light radius so it doesn't shine into the next room.

2. Use another light in the other room that makes the 'shine through wall' effect less obvious (like a candlestick with a small light radius in that spot, a table with candles on top etc).

I see, to bad there is no way to just pick what direction the light is shining in.
