There are Dragons, most likely liches, and maybe horses...

Post » Sat Feb 19, 2011 3:34 am

In morrowind mai'q said: "You wish to become a lich? It's very easy, my friend. Simply find the heart of a lich, combine it with the tongue of a dragon, and cook it with the flesh of a well-ridden horse. This combination is certain to make you undead." We might just get all the creatures where these ingredients come from so do you think we can become liches?
If not I will slay Mai'q once I meet him in Skyrim...
Who's with me? Slay Mai'q if we cannot become liches!.. Thats my way of protesting....

He'll be there. He's an easter egg, he was in Morrowind and Oblivion. He'll be in Skyrim.

consider liches are branded as inherently evil and can not hide there form like say a Vampire can thus making the main quest (or most quests for that matter) un-winnable I doubt we will see it

plus mai′q was obviously made for the devs to poke there tongue at people and in there mind give "stupid answers to stupid questions/requests"

So in Skyrim if you attack M'aiq he'll say: "Don't Kill M'aiq, M'aiq will make you undead... or atleast dead... then some necromancers can make you a lich..." and draw his blade...

Does anybody else remember M'aiq mentioning dragons in OB? He said something that we might see one in the future and he was right! It is unfair to call him a complete liar. A little off topic, but still :P

He mentioned Dragons in Morrowind. He said they were just really high in the air, where no one could see them. :goodjob:

i really hope this topic isnt serious...

first of all, the ritual to become a lich is NOT simple like cooking three stupid ingregients together.

another thing, a lich has no heart... so where would you possibly hope to get one?

Still Morrowind and Oblivion were close enough where he would still be alive. He might return in some respect but idk if it will be a full return this time. Easter eggs are not proper reason to return something to a series, regardless of how awesome it is :D

We don't know if M'aiq will return or not, though I could see it happening, after all, easter eggs often don't make sense, and who knows, maybe M'aiq is actually a Daedra, or maybe there's actually more than one M'aiq the Liar, maybe there's a whole organization of Khajiit who all go by the name of M'aiq the Liar, and they have one singular purpose, to travel around Tamriel to poke fun at things people want to see but aren't in the game. Why? Who can understand the mysterious purpose that drives the M'aiqs?

But honestly, I'm going to assume this topic isn't serious, because obviously, the way to becoming a lich M'aiq mentioned isn't the real way, would you think it would be? I'm guessing some people wanted to be able to become liches in Morrowind, and this is M'aiq's way of poking fun at that desire, because, you know, that's what M'aiq does. I doubt we'll ever be able to become a lich in the game, and if we do, it won't be by that means, I'm sure.

Pretty sure he was talking about the Avatar of Akatosh that you would see at the end of the main quest.

The issue, as previously noted, is Liches don't have hearts!. Just bonemeal. So, that's where the problem with the M'aiq's recipe is.

Dragon's tongue was acquirable in Oblivion, anyway.
