There are 30 minutes to go before the game comes out

Post » Tue Oct 11, 2011 3:33 pm

I'll be inside my gamestop staring down the employee hoping that he'll get scared and give me the game a few minutes early.

I'll be at GameStop nursing the hangover I gave myself the night before most likely, cursing that I had to go to a midnight release.

Its definitely 10.10.11 . Skyrim is 31 days away not 30 minutes.

Indeed, that's what I was saying, lol. Though I think he was asking 'where we'd be' 30 minutes till.

Camping outside Wal-Mart, since it's closer to my house than Gamestop.

This has probably been discussed to death but still isn't quite clear to me if either the launch is timezone dependent or what.

Yup, no point in staying up late.

Yeah, I'm just not much of a late-night gamer, so that's why I'm not bothering with a midnight retail release. I'd rather wait until the morning (took the day off), and play the game refreshed for a good 8-10 straight hours to get my feet properly wet.

If I get the job I'm applying for, I'll be working. If not, I'll be in line at Gamestop, dancing my face off in anticipation.

Will be waiting in line 30 minutes before release. Then I'll be going home and pulling 3 consecutive all nighters throughout the weekend :)

I'll be asleep since about 8pm a monster energy drink will be in my fridge. My alarms gonna go off in moments I wake up get dressed and kiss my wife goodbye. She wishes me good luck have fun, and dont wake me up! I burn up 146 to my local gamestop with the midnight release party well underway. Wait there and talk to the people who want to have a good time and ignore any griefers. Wait for my copy, by now the guy at the counter has recognized and has greeted me. A few mins go by my turn is up. A surge of excitment hits me when the massive box is in my hand. Then I walk out trying not to feel bad for the kid whos there with his mom hoping that there will be a copy left over for him. You know theres always one!

Man, at first I thought this was a "Legit" thread that came up because of confusion. Since Americans and Europeans note the date differently, it'll be 11-10-11 and 10-11-11 Tomorrow.

Anyway, my friends and myself already got it planned. Gonna be at the gamestop for midnight release, assuming it makes the 100pre-order benchmark (for the store) in order to make a midnight event happen.

Otherwise, we'll be there at opening.

It's 11.10.11

Bro you better change it to Nov. 10th 2011 because the Euro's get POed and light up your topic with "on october 11th? Nothing. American's and their weird date stamps. Don't they know it's wrong?".

I wake up to the alarm I have set. I get in the shower and wash. I then eat whatever is available (pizza, tacos, burgers, w/e) I get my water and sit in front of my computer. The game should be preloaded by now, just waiting...

I will be praying that Steam's preload (if we get one (crosses fingers)) will decrypt in a timely and smooth manner with no last minute big files being downloaded or any such thing. I am really glad that this game is being released on a Friday. I have already made plans to block that Friday night into Saturday off.
